All in all the experience was pretty good. Although there certainly are areas for improvement. The service is not standard every time, so make sure you get what you are entitled to when golfing here.

The good: white glove experience from the time you book until you leave. Attendants will load and setup your cart, usually stocking it with water, sand, golf tees, etc. -Beer cart does their rounds and offer hard liquor, light/regular beer, and snacks like sandwiches to tide you over. All included in the price. The guy is a beauty and will start you with 3 beers. What a guy ❤️ -The carts are generally in good condition; however, on my second visit I got a dud which stalled out. I was able to change to a new cart without issue. -Course is in pretty good condition throughout. Well maintained, and decently challenging for an amateur like myself. Pretty loaded with sand at the tee boxes though. -Course features crocodiles and many iguanas that are keen to eat whatever you leave behind. -The pro shop is great at getting you in if you don’t have a reservation and you can generally play the twilight hours without issue.

The bad: inconsistent service. I golfed two days back to back and the first time I got water in my cart, the second I did not. Also, the first time I did not receive a drink ticket to get something from the restaurant, the second time I did. Was never offered a small bucket of range balls either time even though this was explicitly included in the “all inclusive” Price on the website. Neither time I golfed was I even made aware of this when it was stated on the website. I knew this in advance and was expecting to at least be told of this offering. -Not too many bathrooms. I’m a guy, so it’s not an issue for me, but at a fancy place like this you don’t want to drive across the course just to relieve yourself. Not the biggest deal since it’s generally expected, but could be better. -The hours are not at all as advertised for the pro shop. Make sure that you buy whatever you need at the outset, because if you have to stop by at 5-5:30 there is absolutely no guarantee that the shop will be open. I had to end my round early when I went in around 5:00-5:15 to buy some balls, only to find it closed. The pro shop says that the course closes at 6:00 but this apparently does not apply to the pro shop.

So overall, just disappointed with the marketing on the all inclusive nature of the experience as well as the pro shop’s hours being different than the course’s. One of the promises was not even mentioned/offered either time I went and it was just inconsistent on the service. For the price, a person would expect consistency...

If I could leave a zero star rating I would. Coming to Cancun with friends two of us decided to bring our clubs and play a little golf. I booked a tee time two weeks in advance to make sure that we would be able to plan the rest of our days accordingly. The Pro Shop stated they would pick us up at our hotel and bring us back. On the morning of the tee time I called the Pro Shop to make sure the shuttle would be here and that everything was good to go. Keep in mind this is the morning of our outing before we left our hotel for our 20 minute ride to the course. On the way there it started to rain which wasn't a big deal as it was pretty humid. When we arrived at the course they unloaded our clubs and we stood waiting for the starter.

He asked if we knew the condition of the course. This was the first time that anyone had even given us an idea that there was an issue. We asked what was wrong and the response we received was shocking... they airated the greens the day before. This type of process makes putting on a green impossible and the ball will never roll true. For a $140.00 usd a round course this is inexcusable. This process is scheduled weeks in advance and especially when we called the morning of they could have told us this.

We told them that we didn't want to play and we would like to go back to the hotel. Keep in mind they provided us transportation to the course. They then tried to give us the round for 80.00 which was still to much. We explained that we would like to go back to the hotel. They said that they would call is a taxi to take us back. Then they told us that we would need to pay for the taxi back which was ridiculous.

After all this was said and done and we returned to the hotel we looked into playing a different course the next morning. We ended up being able to play El Tinton which is the Cancun Country Club.. this course was amazing. A thousand times nicer than this course and get this... it was less expensive and they provided transportation to AND from the course.

After this experience I would never play Iberostar's course even if the...

Had an early tee time at 7:15am for a group of 4 this past weekend. Two out the 4 were going to golf and the remaining two were going on as a rider. As soon as we got down from our uber we were approached by an employee to check us in. Right off the bat he gave us attitude. He was asking the two who were going to golf unnecessary questions about their capabilities of playing the sport. He asked them what their handicap was and insisted they do a practice swing in front of him to see if they were capable enough to play.(of course they refused to do so). We were also told that we needed to be accompanied by a professional golfer if we wanted to play there. And that the golf course had no insurance if we were so happen to hit a ball to the street and damage a vehicle. First of all, we told the employee that this was not our first time at a golf course, and that we have never been asked these ridiculous questions at any other golf course. And we have been to plenty of prestigious golf courses all over. This employee was not asking these questions to any other player. Honestly, it felt like we were being discriminated against. All we saw on that golf course were nothing but caucasians playing and from the looks of it most of them were beginners. Our two golfers had better strokes than them. We were definitely discriminated against because we didn’t have the “correct” skin color and most likely because I was on the only girl there. If I could give this place a negative star I would. Very...

If you want to go on vacation with small children or you like to go to bed early/want peace and quiet, and healthy good food isn't a priority for you, Iberostar is for you. My two friends and I came to Iberostar for a wedding and stayed for seven nights- about three nights too long. We stayed in a swim out Villa for one night and it was great; I recommend the villas over the regular rooms for sure. The beach is the best part of this resort. Very clean and large. The thing is, this resort is not for three 27 year olds. There is one "club"- a small sports bar. Everything closes down early randomly; we can only guess due to low attendance. There just isn't anything to do for younger people past 11pm most nights. Definitely a family resort. The food is bountiful of options, but it made us pretty sick and groggy feeling. The healthy options were there but nothing really fulfilling. There is a gym with a selection of treadmills, weights and some other equipment, which was our guts' saving grace. We noticed on our last day that they had yoga and trx classes; wish we had known! It was posted on a board on a very small chart in the lobby. Overall the food and lack of entertainment is why I will not return, on top of the fact that it didn't seem to be kept very clean. The floors were grimey in our room and the ledges in the sports bar were filthy.

Amazing golf course. In comparison to Pok to Pok (see my review) this is the best in my opinion. Lovely maintained course with expert staff and course fee includes buggy, all you eat and drink all day in club house or from the catering cart, beautiful Iguana's everywhere, also crocodiles everywhere (beware lol... they make you sign a disclaimer), nice range and putting green, good facilities in the training room with lockers. As always you must wear a polo but they are quite leniant waste down just no swim shorts. Course itself is good for begginers upwards, some nice water features, great par 3's (made my first one on hole 8 with an incredible 12ft chip shot off the green), quite challenging at times which is awesome. You may consider the price expensive at first but considering your alcohol is included for the day its reasonable. Clubs are extra fee. Not sure on the benefits if you stay at the exclusive hotel so maybe read another review for the hotel but I would easily go back and play that course for a week or two and stay at the hotel.

Not sure we’d return. This is an older well known golf course but well maintained. We’d play here before some years ago and enjoyed ourselves so we were looking forward to returning. There are a couple of crocodiles along the course, close to the fairways and walkways – they seem well fed – leave them alone and they will leave you alone. The club is small but they are attentive and you can get a decent breakfast or lunch. We arrived 10 minutes late due to a misunderstanding of the tee time and they did fit the 2 of us about 30 minutes later. Unfortunately we got stuck after 2 groups of 4 and that first group was super slow. The second group just in front of us apologized even though they too were waiting. The staff apologized. They should have had us skip ahead but did not. But after 9 holes, we totally gave up. We rented golf clubs and it as an assortment and not the best.
