Naga Hibachi — Restaurant in Cancún

The worst teppanyaki I've been to. The chef was nice but the showmanship was lacking, and not very interesting. He did maybe just 2 or 3 tricks and that's it.

The server provided the worst service. Took forever to bring drinks, ignored my table a couple times, and also forgot to bring drinks a couple times. We asked for soy sauce, and he just walked away without coming back.

The sushi that they started us with was not good at all. Rice is too wet, and they squished the roll too hard that everything is mushy. The seaweed is soggy, and the salmon on the nigiri is very thin and not fresh enough. The fish just fell apart if you tried to pick it up. Two of the pieces were just cream cheese and cucumber and the rolls were made with too much rice.

The teppanyaki food was beyond salty. I had my whole week's worth of salt intake eating here. We did not stay...

The server who worked with this chef in the video should learn what’s wrong with his service. The chef’s performance was great. I went there at 9 PM on July 17th, 2024. I can’t remember the server’s name, but I could see that he discriminated against people. There was one family with children at our table who left earlier and were unsatisfied with the server. The chef was amazing. You can see that there are people missing at the table. However, a Japanese restaurant server discriminating against Asians? Very funny 😊. I think they were short staffed because our waiter was literally running to get stuff and was taking a while to get drinks. The food is a set menu but The food was not that great, you can tell the first 2 courses were sitting around for a while. I love miso soup but this one was pretty bad, I couldn’t eat it. The sushi you get as an appetizer was old and not to mention the quality was really poor. The fried rice was the best dish but it was 1/3 onions.
