I recently had the misfortune of visiting a jungle tour place that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. The entire experience was marred by an unjustified expulsion from the tour, all because of an alleged rule violation that was completely unfounded.
Let me elaborate on the ordeal that unfolded during our ill-fated visit. As we embarked on the highly anticipated jungle tour, we were excited to explore the lush wilderness and encounter exotic wildlife. Little did we know that our enthusiasm would soon be crushed by the overbearing and unreasonable staff.
During the boat ride, we found ourselves in an unexpected predicament. The person in front of us suddenly came to a halt, causing our boat to veer off course. In an attempt to regain our position in the line, we had to maneuver in a circular motion and swiftly rejoin the group. It was a minor deviation that lasted no more than a minute, and we made sure to adhere to the safety guidelines throughout.
To our utter disbelief, mere moments after we resumed our place in the line, a staff member emerged out of thin air. Without any room for explanation or discussion, he abruptly turned off our boat's engine and escorted us away from the tour. We were left bewildered and humiliated in front of the other participants.
What followed was a frustrating confrontation with the staff, who adamantly accused us of breaking the so-called "line rule." It was an arbitrary and unjustifiable accusation, as we had done nothing wrong. The lack of proper communication and understanding from the staff only added to our bewilderment and anger.
Not only were we unjustly expelled from the tour, but we were also denied the opportunity to experience the rest of the tour's attractions. Our anticipation turned into disappointment, as we were left stranded with no recourse or compensation for our wasted time and money.
The incompetence and lack of professionalism displayed by the staff of this jungle tour place were simply unacceptable. Their hasty judgment and refusal to acknowledge their mistake left a bitter taste in our mouths. It is disheartening to see an establishment that claims to offer unforgettable experiences treat its customers with such disrespect and disregard.
I strongly advise against visiting this jungle tour place if you seek an enjoyable and hassle-free experience. Their arbitrary rules and unjustifiable actions will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable tour operator that values customer satisfaction and respects...
Read moreMy experience with this company was not great so I am rating it as 2 stars - namely for the safety issues we had. Thankfully, we are somewhat experienced boaters - however the others in our group were not.
The problem (I think) could be attributed to a language barrier from the person giving the instructions on how to drive the boat. There was barely any lesson given as to how to use a boat and what was given was useless. As a result, the girls in the boat on the left of us drove into a docking pole after push off -and then they pushed the lever forward (full throttle acceleration) and almost hit another docked boat. They were panicked and waving their arms in the air as their boat was going full throttle ahead. Someone could have been seriously injured. For some reason, they never showed anyone the kill switch on the boat (which they could have used to stop accelerating towards other boats). The people to the right of us we explained how to use the boat (which the couple told us we should work there after also expressing concern about the lack of instruction).
Once we got going, the water was very choppy and these are small boats that are not well equipped to handle the waves. The couple that we gave instructions to mentioned that he was feeling sick after all the up/down slamming on the waves, so they were not having an enjoyable time.
Another problem that I had was that on our confirmation, it shows a $12 "docking fee." So they charged us $12 to dock THEIR boat - back on THEIR dock - which is serviced by THEIR dockhands (??) Talk about a money grab! But wait, there's more! When we got there, they told us it was $12 PER PERSON! So $24 to dock our rented boat for an excursion that we paid for back on their dock?! What a scam!
Also the customer service when you walk in was just not great. 4 staff members all trying not to make eye contact with one of them working. Barely smiled, looked like they did not want to be there and did not want us to be there either.
There is also a hard push for pictures - if you don't take them (we didn't) they stand around in a group talking about you and glancing over at you - which made us uncomfortable.
Lastly, we arranged transport through them and I was shocked by the way this person drove. Having driven in NYC taxi cabs, this was 100x worse. Weaving in and out of traffic, driving recklessly, speeding, etc I was just holding on praying for dear life.
So, while other people may have had good experiences with this company, I cannot in good conscience...
Read moreDecided to try the exertion while in Cancun and to our surprise it was one of our worst experiences. My partner and I decided to buy the snorkeling and speed boat package. When arriving to the location we were told snorkeling would not take place, but that we would be compensated for it. We decided to take their offer under the impression of a partial refund. After listening to directions for a while we headed out in two small groups. I will mention that my partner and I do not know how to swim, nor have any boater experience; Therefore, we were a little scared of the boats and the possibility of something bad happening, since we were the second to last boat from the instructor. With that in mind, we were trying our best to keep up with the group and we managed to do an okay job. To our surprise, less than 10 minutes into this activity the instructor drives towards us and very aggressively says that we are holding his group up and if we do not hurry up he will cancel our activity. The funny part is that no one in the group complained and had said they were okay with taking a slower ride. However, my partner and I were already very flustered by this instructors condescending/negligent attitude and no longer felt safe continuing. We told him we no longer wanted to continue the ride and that we would rather cancel. After huffing and puffing the instructor said he would take us back as a group. We apologized to our group and they insisted there was no issue at all. When arriving to the dock, I requested a refund for the activity that did not take place. I was told I would not receive any refund, despite me buying cancellation insurance and being promised compensation for half of the activity. Already annoyed, I left. Thankfully, I bought this activity using PayPal and was able to receive my refund of $122 weeks later. I recommend using PayPal or a credit card when purchasing this activity because they will be able to open a case dispute/investigation for situations like this. Overall, save your money and stay away from this company. They claim to be non-swimmer friendly, as well as beginner friendly, but are NOT. They could have easily divided us into three groups so frighten people like myself could be accommodated, but instead, they decide to threaten their customers with cancellation.DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE. They do not care for you. They only care for your money. Glad that I was able to get mine back. Please choose another company like xcerto if you have...
