Do NOT purchase stamps here! Go ONLY for the museum. I was there this past Saturday morning (10:00a.m. on April 5th) to buy postcard stamps and visit the museum, and while the museum was stunning, the only woman who was working the windows that morning sold me stamps that were ALREADY CANCELLED! She took my money, and then pulled out 5 loose stamps from her cash register and handed them to me. I've purchased many stamps here in the past and never had an issue, but when I got home, I realized they were already cancelled! I had to use glue to stick them to my post cards. When I went to another location (Tacuba) to drop them off, they would not accept the stamped cards using the stamps I had purchased from Palacio Postal and I had to purchase 5 more stamps. They were very apologetic, and the service at the Tacuba location was terrific, but I was ANGRY. They recommended that I take a photo (attached) and report what happened. I should have known something was amiss when I didn't get my usual receipt from my original stamp purchase at Palacio Postal.

I've been living in Mexico for several years and have sent dozens and dozens of post cards, and I've NEVER been scammed by Correos Mexico before. To have been scammed at their MAIN CENTRAL LOCATION is an absolute shame. I will NEVER buy stamps here again and from now on will return to the Tacuba or Santa Maria la Ribera locations, where I've...

The Palacio Postal in Mexico City is an architectural gem that beautifully encapsulates the rich history of the nation. This stunning building, with its intricate and picturesque design, stands as a testament to the elegance of a bygone era. The palace is impeccably maintained, preserving its grandeur and charm for visitors to admire.

Stepping into the Palacio Postal feels like stepping back in time. The grandeur of its interior, with detailed ironwork, grand staircases, and ornate decorations, is awe-inspiring. Each corner of this magnificent building tells a story, making it not just a postal office, but a significant landmark in Mexico’s cultural and historical landscape.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply appreciate beautiful architecture, the Palacio Postal is a must-visit. It offers a unique glimpse into the past and remains a vibrant part of Mexico...

I assisted in my partners exposition there. He did an amazing installation of cyberpunk robots infused with Mexican symbolism. Absolutely stunning. The place didn’t help us in any of the installation process, and they changed his dates twice. After which they closed it, they didn’t maintain it open for the amount of time that was agreed. We went to go pick up the pieces and in the end they had STOLEN an extension cord and an iron angle ruler. They didn’t help finance anything and they ended up STEALING FROM US. Specifically the woman that works there that goes by Joz was horrible to us when we presented her with any of these concerns. Yes the arquitecture is amazing, but I think the people who are in charge of the place do nothing to make it into an even more spectacular place to visit, a place that supports the arts. ——— English I encountered a terrible situation at the post office. I wanted to send a package to Russia, but the postal worker rudely told me that they do not accept packages to Russia. (Since I have acquaintances who recently sent packages to Russia, and the postal website allows you to check the cost of shipping to Russia, I knew that sending packages to Russia from Mexico is possible.) I asked for some kind of explanation (a document, rule, or at least to call the manager to confirm that Mexico had stopped postal service to Russia), but all my requests were denied. They just waved me off and said “no” without any explanation. I was speaking to the employee in Spanish. I was polite. Today, I sent a package from Oaxaca without any issues, which once again confirms that the employee at that post office, out of laziness or racism, simply did not want to take my package and just waved me off, refusing to explain the situation or try to resolve it. It’s very disappointing that such bad people work at this beautiful post office.
