I honestly donāt have words to describe how magical this place was. There was a moment when we were standing in the warm sun, the courseās palm trees and foliage swaying in the breeze, bubbles blowing out over the green, bunnies hopping around our feet ā that was the moment we wondered if it real life or all just a beautiful dreamā¦
In all seriousness, this was the best mini golf course Iāve ever done. Sure, the holes werenāt anything insane. Sure, there was a bit of construction going on. BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO GIANT FLEMISH RABBITS RUNNING AROUND. And for any concerned about the rabbits: I feel like theyāre well taken care of and living their absolute best lives. They have a TON of space, lots of shade, plenty of hutches and holes, and Iām sure many guests feeding them treats on top of their regular food. Like, Iām jealous of their life.
Onto the course itself: I loved all the details! The mini hobbit hole rabbit clutch. The fairy garden. The bubble dispenser. The fog machine at one of the holes. The rabbit jokes everywhere. There was a lot of thought put into everything. The holes were fun, too, even if they werenāt anything crazy. I saw a review complaining about bunny poop: dude, what did you expect with giant rabbits running around?! I certainly didnāt notice it, the course felt surprisingly clean to me.
(We also lucked out in that we were the first ones to arrive and only ones there for most of the time, so we had the course and all the rabbits to ourselves.)
The service: Very nice lady that got us all set up! She does a fantastic job.
Overall: This was literally a top moment in my life. Am I overreacting just because Iām a huge animal lover? Maybe. I donāt care. This course was fun, pretty and had RABBITS. What more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe concept is cool - mini-golf with real, live rabbits hopping around.
During our entire session, (and this is not a criticism) only one rabbit came out of its home, so temper your expectations.
The Good:
It's probably a great venue for a child's birthday party.
There are some neat and unique concepts we haven't seen elsewhere, like a "spin the wheel" hole, wherein you will be awarded an advantage or disadvantage before putting. The "penalty stroke" holes added an additional challenge as well.
The Bad:
This place is in dire need of maintenance and upgrades. The aesthetic felt very cheap, the course was laden with fallen leaves and debris and the turf on most of the holes was in disrepair / lumpy.
Booking a "start time" doesn't really mean much, as they may have already booked in a group of twenty 5 year-olds at the same time, creating a massive wait time for each hole.
That said, the course is EXTREMELY cramped, especially when the place is busy. The holes are very small with limited obstacles, so you'll likely do more waiting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWho knew we would end up at this place?! We booked the night to go to a traditional Maori show but as soon as they screamed out, Kia ora it scared the daylights out of our toddler. It was too much for his sensitive ears, so we left.
Having the evening suddenly free, we were scrambling to find something else to do. After a quick look online, we found this place! Who could resist some fluffy giant bunnies and mini golf with bright lights? We don't see this in Australia! Or I'm not aware of any places like this.
This is my first time playing golf, and I did quite well! My husband called me a fluke, but we all know he's just jealous of my raw talent!
Our toddler was also going well for his first time! He was persistent in hitting all the balls in. He also loved the giant bunnies, they were almost as big as he was!
Plenty of parking onsite, and lots of fun rounds of golf with colourful lights everywhere. We spent a good hour here and our son loved every second. He regularly wants to play...
