Just a short drive from Kotor, the picturesque town of Perast offers a peaceful escape steeped in history and charm. The seafront promenade is truly enchanting, lined with centuries-old buildings, cozy bars, charming restaurants, the Church of St. Nicholas, and even a small museum. The views over the Bay of Kotor are nothing short of breathtaking — perfect for a relaxing stroll or a quiet coffee by the water. From Perast, you can book private boat tours to the famous Blue Cave or visit the iconic Our Lady of the Rocks island, just offshore. If you’re up for a bit of adventure, climb the bell tower of St. Nicholas Church for panoramic views over the entire town. Just a heads-up: the narrow staircase and low ceilings might be a challenge for those with claustrophobia — and mind your head...

Well I stayed for a few days in Kotor and made a day trip to Herceg Novi and Perast. I don't know how to put it in words but Perast is one of the most charming places I have ever been. I don't like that here are so many people compared to the size of this small fishing village. The atmosphere is stunning throughout the day. The best thing you can do is to start your trip at one of the bus stations that are situated at both ends of the village. Then walk up the street to the other end and then you can continue on the haven street, have a lunch at one of the many restaurants that are more expensive than the rest of the country but cheaper than in most European countries. I can'T recommend this place enough, I wish I would have stayed here...
