Four of us have just returned from a one week stay at the Heritage Grand. Perast is beautiful and the hotel is at the centre of this beautiful little town. Due to the barriers on each side of the town we had a waiting time of approx 15 minutes waiting for a buggy to come and collect us to take us to the hotel as vehicles were not allowed into Perast. Staff were very polite and apologised for the delay. A cold welcome drink was given and well received as it was hot. |Both rooms were very large with large bathrooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and wonderful views of the bay. The hotel is stunning and was a palace.|The indoor pool and spa was a wonderful touch for my father who found it too hot outside. The outside pool and stairs leading into the bay were a wonderful spot to watch the boats pass and soak up the sun.|Staff members Elizabeth, Susan and Kemal were exceptional throughout our stay and are a credit to the hotel. The food was delicious from breakfast, to lunch and evening meals in the restaurant next to the water. We were on a bed and breakfast board but we did eat within the hotel a few times and also tried many other restaurants.|My only constructive feedback centres around the outside pool in terms of service and safety;|1) Service - this is a five star hotel it is not appriopiate for the guest to find the waiter for drinks, staff should be attentive and ask guests if they would like a drink or make themselves available so the guest can ask. Guests should be provided with napkins and cultery with meals from their "beach menu" rather than getting suitably dressed to go into the restaurant and ask for cutlery and napkins. Guests should not have to clear their own table to make space. It was annoying to see the waiters all sat laughing to each when tables were messy and people were coming to them for drinks. Level of service was really lacking and the 10% service charge was automatically put on the bill which I thought was not deserved around the pool in terms of the service received, the last full day we saw an mprovement. Unfortunely non hotel guests regulary walked into the hotel guest only area in front of the hotel next to the water and were loud and disrespectable to guests and then to staff when asked to leave. The hotel does have a sign to say hotel guests only but it appears no-one takes notice. If you want privacy walk down towards the next section of sunbeds which is slightly more enclosed, my bikini body not toned with a mouthful of burger and many chins is now in many photographs after a non hotel group decided to have an inprontu photoshoot on the jetty area. The wonders of editing when they see the photos!||2) Safety around the pool /water - I was quite shocked to see lifeguards on their phones taking no notice of the water which at times was rough with the winds and passing boats, this was evident when someone had difficulty in the water and a guest had to intervene with the lifeguard completly oblivous of the situation and remained sat throughout. making no attempt to ask if the person was ok. At times the lifeguard would go out on the kayak and fall asleep on the water. I know the season is still "quiet" but surely with persons being in the water, pool safety should be paramount.||That said the wonderful service we had at breakfast, lunch in the restaurant, night time entertainment, service in the evening and the hotel itself I would return and recommend. The above points can be easily rectified with training and guidance. ||As stated Elizabeth, Susan and Kemal it was lovely to be greeted with your smiles, laughter and...
Read moreWe stayed at Heritage Grand Perast by Rixos for our honeymoon, expecting a luxurious five-star experience, especially as I am an Accor Platinum member. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by repeated service lapses, poor communication, and serious concerns about health and safety. This is simply not a true five-star hotel.||Loyalty Benefits Ignored: Despite informing the hotel in advance of my Platinum status and honeymoon, we received no upgrade acknowledgment, no welcome drinks, no welcome card, and no clear amenity presentation. Our room faced a wall with almost no privacy — passersby and neighboring buildings could see inside.||Room & Housekeeping Issues: The bathroom soap was empty upon arrival, the bath plug was broken and leaking, and requests for towels required multiple calls.||Food & Service: Room service was delayed due to a mix-up with our room number, and when it arrived, the burger was stone cold (though it tasted good). Service in general was slow.||Facilities: The deckchairs by the sea were essentially “reserved” by guests at sunrise, so unless you woke up at 6 a.m., there was no chance of getting one.||Major Health & Safety Concern: After a few days, both my husband and I became unwell (vomiting, feeling weak). We noticed a sewage pipe discharging into the sea right next to the hotel. This was confirmed by numerous previous guest reviews mentioning the same issue. Hotel staff denied it was a problem and claimed the water was “clean,” but after this, we didn’t feel safe swimming anymore. This was heartbreaking as swimming in the sea was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel — and we paid a premium for that privilege.||Compensation & Service Recovery: When I complained, we were offered a “better” room that didn’t feel like an upgrade at all, so we declined. We were also offered a free massage, which was unprofessional: no choice of massage type, no post-treatment drink, and no real hospitality.||This was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon stay, but it was filled with disappointment. For the price we paid, and for a Rixos-branded, Accor-affiliated property, the standards were far below expectations. This hotel does not meet five-star standards, and I cannot recommend it until significant...
Read moreWe had an absolutely amazing holiday at Rixos in Perast, and we want to thank the entire team for their professionalism, warmth, and incredible hospitality. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel more like friends than guests. It truly felt like home. We didn’t want to leave at all!
The hotel building itself is stunning. A beautifully preserved historic structure that has been transformed into a hotel with such care and elegance. It’s truly impressive how the original character has been maintained while offering every modern comfort.
The breakfast was also fantastic fresh, rich, and delicious every morning. A special thank you to Elisabeth and Susan, who took such great care of us at breakfast and always greeted us with kindness and bright smiles.
But what truly made this holiday unforgettable were the people. Darko was absolutely incredible. Every evening, without us even needing to say a word, he intuitively knew what we would enjoy and surprised us with the most delicious food and perfect wine pairings. It felt like he read our minds. His attention to detail, genuine warmth, and effortless professionalism made every dinner a highlight. Dining became an experience, thanks to him.
Jana was like the soul of the place for us. From the very first moment, she made us feel welcomed, understood, and cared for in every possible way. She was always there with a warm smile, anticipating every need before we even thought of it. Her kindness, energy, and grace made us feel truly special. She turned our stay into something deeply personal and unforgettable.
Kristina, Katerina, and Joanna also took such wonderful care of us, always with kind words and sincere hospitality.
And of course, Trifan, who welcomed us when we first arrived, set the tone for everything that followed. With his calm, warm presence, we immediately felt that this trip was going to be something special and it absolutely was.
The live music in the evenings was another highlight. Isidora enchanted us with her amazing voice and radiant presence. Her performances created magical moments we’ll never forget.
Words truly aren’t enough to describe how amazing this team is. Thank you all so much. We’ll definitely be back very...
