One of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve ever had—completely ruined our evening. We used their spa, which was lovely, but dinner at the restaurant was a disaster from start to finish. We arrived at 8:45 PM, just to look at the menu. A staff member named Bogota kindly gave us the menu and asked us to sit, saying we didn’t have to eat if we didn’t want to. We decided to stay and dine. Suddenly, another waiter, Dragan, appeared and rudely informed us that the kitchen was closed at 8:53pm . We had been seated there for 15 minutes without any notice that the kitchen would close, and he created an unnecessary scene in front of other guests. Eventually, after a very loud and uncomfortable argument (entirely caused by the waiter), we were grudgingly allowed to order a very limited one-course meal for two. We requested to add two more items, but he refused. After some more discussion, he allowed one more item, but we were made to feel like we were begging for food, not dining at a high-end hotel restaurant. We also asked about ordering desserts after our meal, but were told we must order them right away because the kitchen was closed. So we did. Then things got even worse. The desserts were served first, before the main course. When we politely asked the female server Caroline to refrigerate them so we could eat them later, the same arrogant waiter slammed the tray of desserts on the table behind us, muttered something angrily in Montenegrin, and stormed off. It was loud, unprofessional, and honestly shocking behavior—especially in a fine dining setting where we spent over €150 just on dinner. To make up for all that is happening another waiter Dlisan is being very polite and kept asking sorry and looked after us. We also spoke to the hotel receptionist kseniji about this, she has been seeing us since 4:30pm that day since we had come for the spa. This is not how paying guests—especially tourists during a poring rain on this day —should be treated. It completely ruined our evening and left a sour taste after what was otherwise a beautiful day. We spent over €500 in this restaurant that day, and this level of rude, dismissive, and hostile service is unacceptable. I would seriously urge the management to review this incident, take responsibility, and offer a refund or some form of apology. We will not be recommending this place to anyone else. The incident happened today on the 17/4/25 from 8:53 pm to 9:58pm

This is a restaurant that aspires to excellence, and it has certainly fulfilled its mission. The service is impeccable, the seaside terrace offers an amazing view of the bay, and the dishes are creative and perfectly balanced. For starters, the tuna tartare resembles a round dessert, but the entire composition is perfectly arranged, with flavours from different continents. For the main course, the traditional seafood linguine with prawn bisque was flawless—perfectly balanced flavours and portions. A slight disappointment came with the tiramisu, which aimed to be modern but lacked depth and surprise towards the bottom of the dish. Average. The excellent white wine accompaniment was a fine choice. To top it off, the bill came to €75.90. As you might expect, this is a Michelin-star calibre restaurant, but there was no unnecessary fuss or pretension.

The service is outstanding- our waiter, Anja, was very kind, courteous, and had great knowledge about wine, the view is priviledged - you can see the Lady of the Rocks, and Sveti Đorđe islands, and the food is one of the best I’ve tasted in Montenegro (we had the tuna tartar with avocado, the papardelle with lamb & rosemary, and the seafood fettuccine).

Dishonest billing – avoid

Food was actually good and the dinner went fine at first. But when it was time to pay, the waiter told us the bill was €80 and refused to show it. We did a quick calculation — it should have been around €60.

After insisting, he brought a new bill, visible this time, but had still added services we never asked for. He claimed it was a mix-up with another table, even though that table had left over 20 minutes earlier.

This was clearly an attempt to overcharge tourists. Not recommended – there are much better, honest...
