Visited the Marinid Tombs today and was thoroughly impressed by the breathtaking panoramic views of Fez Medina. The site is an exceptional location for photography, particularly in the early morning or late evening when the light casts a magical glow over the city. Highly recommended for those who appreciate historical sites and scenic landscapes. The Marinid Tombs in Morocco refer to the ruins of a medieval necropolis situated on a hill overlooking the city of Fez. These tombs date back to the Marinid dynasty, which ruled Morocco from the 13th to the 15th century. The site is notable for its historical significance and the panoramic views it offers of the ancient city.

ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING STROLL WITH MESMERIZING VIEWS FROM OLD MEDINA. ENCOUNTERED A TRULY REMARKABLE MAN SELLING HIS WARES. HE LIVES IN A WHITE HOUSE IN THE HILLS. HIS WARMTH AND KINDNESS WERE EXCEPTIONAL. NOT ONCE DID HE PUSH US TO MAKE A PURCHASE; INSTEAD, HE SHARED STORIES ABOUT THE CITY'S CHANGES AND NEVER SOUGHT ANY FINANCIAL. I DIDN’T GET A PHOTO OF HIM, BUT I DID CAPTURE A MOMENT OF HIM WALKING – A FLEETING GLIMPSE OF GENUINE GOODNESS. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, CONSIDER SUPPORTING HIM – A GENUINE GEM AMONG THE LOCALS.

Nice place to visit and apparently not very popular during the day. There were only a handful of people. The view is amazing. It's maybe a 30 min walk from the Medina And even if it is not the most pleasant walk along the road, I think it is well worth the effort as you will get different views on Fez and the surrounding. There is also an alternative off-track path which is not on any map. There was no harassment or begging kids along the way however I would probably not recommend to walk it alone during the night.

Nothing to really "explore" here, but great vantage point for a panoramic view of the downtown Fes Medina. You can just have your taxi driver drop you off at the small parking area, have the taxi wait for a few mins while you take some pics, and jump back into the taxi. Most people say that sunset is the best time to go, which is when we went and the views were beautiful. The area itself is not so amazing - as it's got plenty of garbage etc., but if you are clever with your pics you can shoot around that.
