Walking back towards the Blue Gate, I noticed this clean, near, cozy restaurant with wood interiors. Le Tarbouche. Ahh! I read about this in a blog so we decide to give it a go. We sat outside, next to the pavement. Good for watching people go by but chais are small and uncomfortable and seating is cramped. But that's part of the charm, right? We decide on Tagine de Kebab - Veal Marinated in Onion and Paprika Sauce. It was VERY good. Meat very tender snd the sauce so flavorful. In fact, the Swiss couple next to us saw it and wished they had ordered the same haha. They had Taboulé Marocain, Crispy beef marinated in spicy lemony sauce and grilled chicken with butter ang garlic . All good they confirmed! Service was a bit long but the waiter was friendly. This is a delightful pit stop in the Fes Medina.

We were a family of 5 adults and 3 children. We had dinner for the first time here tonight while we are in Fez (Marocco, in August 2022). We arrived around 8:30 pm and no table available for us. We waited for 20 minutes. I couldn't understand how can so many people want to visit the restaurant. For me, nothing is special. It is my honest opinion. Our experience was just ok, not to repeat. Pros: 1. The location is easy to find in Fez by Google Maps. You can follow your Google Maps. 2. They have great modern decorations. 3. They have friendly and kind workers. 4. The price of food is fair, and the portion is okay. We spent 635 dirham for 8 people. The garlic chicken is tasty. The fresh Moroccan salad is good. The Nacos is okay. Pastilla and Vegetable pastilla are okay. 5. They accept payment in cash. 6. The restaurant is cozy and clean. 7. Wearing a mask is not mandatory anymore. 8. Free wifi accessible inside the restaurant. 9. They have indoor and outdoor seating. 10. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. Cons: 1. No toilet. 2. The wifi is slow and somehow was difficult to connect. 3. I didn't like my food Kefta tagine. The sauce was strange. I tasted the kid pizza, the taste was not good. The Jalapeño poppers had too strong taste. The bread of Kefta was not good. The lemonade Rosemary had too much sugar. 4. The restaurant has a very small space. It is difficult to move.

Came here with my husband in the beginning of March during our holiday. The resturant was resrrved inside for a big party so we sat outside. We ordered a pizza and nachos. The pizza was nothing special, it was watery and we had to add salt and peppar. The nachos were made there, but were very greasy and the salsa guacamole tasted artificial. The service was not nice at all. When the big party arrived, they decided to shut the doors because the party were scared of cats coming inside. This resulted in that we could not call the waiter to pay, as he was only serving the big party. When I got up to go inside to pay, a woman from the party asked me why I wanted to go inside, literally standing by the shut door asking me what I wanted, it's extremely rude and unprofessional of the staff to let that happen in the first place. Once I was let in, I paid and walked out. Would never go back.

Definitely good and cheap food over here. Menu offers various meals such as burritos, pastilles and traditional tapas. Although it was quite a long wait before the food came, even though we were alone, it was worth the wait. The vegetarian pastille was stuffed with a lot of vegetables and delicious Moroccan cheese and was very good and filling. Traditional Moroccan tapas was amazing to put on the tasty bread that goes along with it. Berber tea with traditional herbs was good! Staff not very good at customer relation though, barely looking at you or communicating.. But the food made up for it luckily! For all this, we only paid 90 Dirhams (9 euros) and it was food filling!

Menu is limited, but the jalapeño poppers were not what I expected, but tasted great, more of a croquette with jalapeño. Thé tajine de kabob maghdour was super tasty! You can get tired of tajine, but this was different and sauce was well seasoned and served with bread to sop ip all the goodness. We also had the grilled chicken served with good quality grilled vegetables. The vegetarian B’Stilla could have used some salt, but good otherwise. The chimichanga which many rave about, was good, but not my favourite. All in all, it was worthwhile and super affordable.

This is the best cafe I’ve tried in Morocco. Period. I found this while looking for dinner after getting scammed by my guide for a 150dh per person lunch. Determined to find something good to eat, this cafe stands out on google maps because of its high ratings. And trust me, it’s good!! Try the chicken and tagine. For an affordable price of 50dh each, you can enjoy a delicious meal. The place is tiny, with only five tables indoors, but they are comfortable, and the space is air-conditioned. Try this little oasis in the hot and chaotic fes medina!
