COOKING CLASS. My husband and I took a class with SOUAD on Dec. 6 2024. The morning started in the Cafe where we met the other participants and had a drink together and decided the menu for the class. And then Souad took us out into the souk to find and purchase the groceries we needed for the meal! This was SO fun! We met the shop owners as Souad engaged with them and explained to us where the food came from and how it was processed. For instance Halal meat - as our chicken was slaughtered and processed on the spot - which some found surprising but I was very happy to have that close relationship with my foods origin. We returned to cafe clock and proceeded upstairs to the Teaching kitchen where we all participated and learned how each dish was prepared step by step. Souad was an EXCELLENT TEACHER her English was very good, I thoroughly enjoyed her fun and loving personality during the entire experience. She took special care with food allergies and vegetarian options. I HIGHLY recommend this experience for anybody spending time in Fez. We all left with a personally autographed souvenir cookbook, which I will cherish and cook moroccan food for our friends and family back in 🇨🇦 British Columbia CANADA. 😋

Best restaurant in Fes Title: A Hidden Gem with Friendly Service and Delicious Food** I recently dined at this fantastic restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the private dining area on their charming roof terrace — perfect for an intimate meal with friends or family, while enjoying the peaceful ambiance. The food was simply outstanding! I started with a freshly squeezed orange juice, which was absolutely refreshing, and their mint lemonade is to die for! For my meal, I had the chicken and beetroot salad, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The hummus super bowl was equally filling and bursting with flavor. Make sure to save room for dessert — the cake and dessert selection is amazing and the perfect way to end the meal! Overall, an excellent experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and top-notch service.

Popular pit stop for tourists which offers nice views of the mountains around Fes and some of the rooftops and minarets of the old city. The place was moderately busy when we visited (late Monday afternoon) and as such, it took 15 minutes to have our order taken. It took a further 20 minutes to receive our desserts and drinks. Tried the lemonade and mint drink, which was a huge disappointment as it is one of my favourite drinks. The date cheesecake was fantastic and if I was able to eat more, then I would have tried something from their very interesting menu (besides the famous camel burger!). Literally 60 seconds walk from Bab Boujeloud, it is worth a visit to see the traditional house in which this cafe is working out of and to take some rest after a day of traversing the medina's narrow yet vibrant alleys. Overall, the menu prices are aimed at tourists, as is the menu selection. Would be nice if smoking was confined to particular sections of the restaurant as the smell is overwhelming, especially when eating.

Went to this place the other evening and was some of the best food on the trip. We craved a bit of western style food, and found this place that did it with a twist.

I had the camel burger, fries and chocolate shake. Burger itself was delicious. Camel meat itself is different than any meat I’ve had, but it was well cooked and the burger well dressed. Fries were house made. Could have used some salt, but delicious otherwise. Do yourself a favor and get the chocolate milk shake. After stirring all the chocolate myself (was kinda clumpy) it was probably one of the rest shakes I’ve ever had.

There was some live music on the roof top where our table was, and great views.

My wife had beef burger. It was good, but she wasn’t a fan of the side salad. Mine had cole slaw which was delicious.

Good portions, and decent prices. Perhaps more than you should expect in Morocco, but the food was probably a step above other places we ate, especially with the comfort of some westernized food. Great place to mix up your palate on the trip if you want to take a break from the classic...
