I attach proof of visit. Sadly, we had a really bad experience at hammam Mernissi. We booked a 45 minute scrub belik for two people for 9pm costing £60. We arrived at 8.50 and was then put in a waiting room with no explanation. The scrub started at 9.05pm and by 9.15pm we were told that the scrub had finished - less than 10 mins before it started. In disbelief we spoke to the receptionist who wasn’t sure what had happened and why we were out of the hammam so early. Eventually he called the manager who also wanted to find out what had happened. After a long conversation we were eventually offered a free massage but by this time we were quite stressed by the whole situation and left at 9.30pm. Maybe it was the time of night we booked for, but the whole experience was really disappointing - we paid £60 for a scrub that lasted less than 10 minutes. I would probably advise people to avoid this place. We only went on the back of a number of good trip advisor reviews but we experienced something completely different! The scrub was poor and rushed and finished within 10mins despite being advertised for 45 mins. We really should have been given a refund as a ten minute scrub should never cost £60 no matter where in the world you are. I don’t think we are the only ones this has happened to and after reading other one star reviews I think we should have avoided it. Management should be careful. An over priced rip iff

Unfortunately I didn't have a nice experience. I wanted to go to a hamam in the Ville Nouvelle neighbourhood that I had been many years ago and was very happy about, but the hotelreceptionist recommended me to try-out hamam Mernissi. After reading all the positive reviews and seeing the nice pictures, I gave it a try. I choose the public hamam, so not private. I went in the morning. There were only two other clients + three women to scrub us. These women working there made so much noise. They were talking to each other all the time. One woman started cleaning the hamam making a lot of noise. Not very relaxing...as every noise echoes. The women that scrubbed me, was very friendly. But...at the end, I gave her a 40 dirham tip (4 euro) and she rolled her eyes, making clear this tip was not enough for her. It was the only money that was left after paying the hamam. I didn't want to take much money with me, as I didn't know if there would be lockers. As I didn't give her more, her attitude changed completely. Not friendly anymore. When I left, I said goodbye. She didn't reply. So I left the hamam not relaxed and upset. I have been to many hamams in Morocco, Tunesia and Turkey. I know what to expect. The pictures on Maps don't reflect the reality. Prices are high, but not worth it. I'm sure many of the reviews here are fake.
