We have had terrible experience. We joined museum with baby buggy and had real trouble get in there and also move through the museum. On beginning we found and entrance for disabled people and easy accessible entrance. After ringing a bell and minutes of waiting, someone from stuff opened a door but we way inside was through room filled with boxes so I had to free the way on myself, lady from stuff was just looking at me as I was alone trying to make way for us. I am curious what a disable person would have to do. Moving through museum was possible with an elevator but on those levels where lot of rooms and parts with stairs in between. So alone due to our experience with terrible access for disabled people and children's buggys I would give only 1 star. But also whole concept of museum was not our first preference. Even we speak English,it was too chaotic and we have had problems find some kind of concept. We didn't learned a lot about Frédéric Chopin, even about his biography nor about pieces he has created. After we frustrated left the museum after 2 hours we have had to google most the information we was interested in. Simply lot of basic information missing. The style how the museum was trying to be modern just didn't hit our taste of art or how should museum be organised. And what we really missed would be much bigger offer of places where you can hear and enjoy his piece of art - music. Maybe it was due to covid, so one exposition where you could theoretically do that, was missing headphones. And on places where you can enjoy the music, quality of sound was...

One of the most famous museums in Warsaw is surely the Chopin 's museum that's a few hundred meters away from the old town' s main street towards the river. I visited it in the end of June as the touristic season was just gearing up and I didn't have to pre-book my tickets. Besides, with an ISIC card, I could enter for free. During weekends, the museum hosts also short piano concerts for a hundred person at a time three times per day. The 30-minute concert attendance is included in your ticket cost. So if you're there visiting, then it's worthwhile to stay for the concert as well. The museum has a lot of reading panels, possibilities to listen to music Chopin's music are limited to approx 10 persons at a time. However, a some music of his is playing in the background during your whole visit. The building itself is renovated and presents the renesance style. In case you're a classical music lover, then don't go to the museum with small kids,, because they would quickly loose their interest. If you're ready just to read a little, walk through the building, it's possible to cover the whole thing with less than an hour. There's a rest room. There's a well-equipped museum store in the building. There's no cafe inside the building, however Cafe Note is just across. The cafe mainly offers drinks and...

I have found this museum very interesting though there are many aspects it can be improved. Interestingly the museum exhibits a lot of personal belongings of Chopin which do not tell any stories. The story, the life of Chopin can be learned only from the digital tablets placed in every room and those puzzles pieces reveal the life of Chopin. The artifacts and the names/labels/dates do not tell anything and simply as a casual museum visitor I could not attach those letters, notes etc to anything until I read all the tablets information. Also these tablets are hard to read, many time the touch screen is separated by a glass which make them hard to interact with. It seems to me and I assume that the exhibition is designed to those ones who already know Chopin life inside out and the music became the centre of attention. I had the chance to listen to a live piano concert at the basement of the museum which was unique and amazing performance. Overall Chopin museum is great and I have enjoyed it but the interesting facts are hidden in the tablets and structure of the displays and floors are not following any concepts. I hope the colleagues of the museum will read this comment and will make some improvements...

I like how the life of Chopin was presented. The collection is in a former palace and has changing exhibitions, and the permanent exhibition is on the ground floor. This summer of 2025 they design the first floor to showcase his circle of friends many who were fellow artists. One of the portraits was by his friend. Also, I liked how there was a personalized approach where you can interact with the music.. for example, there were listening booths and drawers where you can view the sheet music and follow with the music. On the other hand, if it was crowded, it might change the experience as you would have to wait. In the permanent collection, all the stations were full with the headphones. Not a big museum, but I did go back to certain rooms a few times. Especially after I watched a video where the creators talked about how they built a multisensory experience. For example, they built scents into the rooms which I didn’t notice. But they did point out how the frames were indicative of the period which made me curious to go back as well. They designed the rooms in Parisian style where he spent much of his creative life. Free on Weds

Great introduction to Chopin. As a devoted fan myself, I was hoping to see a live performance at the museum or a masterclass in action in order to see/hear analysis of Chopin's works at a more detailed level (as opposed to just listening to his recordings and reading analysis notes on a screen at the listening booths, which is basically the same as watching a Chopin video on YouTube from the comfort of your own home). At the very least, I hope they'd allow museum guests to play some of Chopin's works on the auditorium piano in the name of cultural exchange and richer interactivity. Then again, I got in with free admission (as they usually offer on Wednesdays). So I'm grateful for the experience overall.

Wednesday is free, so go early to make sure you get a ticket. We were there right at open and there were (not surprisingly) others with the same idea. The museum itself is carefully curated: so little Chopinalia survives that they've done a really good job making this a multi-level experience. While there is some repetition, the listening stations are bright spots. On the -1 level, a room played recordings of a Chopin competition. Pro-Tip: Spend some extra time here or look for Chopin recitals/concerts by the museum instead of the Trip Advisor ones.
