Ramen is good, tasty, interesting. Unfortunately here the positive points are finished. The whole place neither nice, nor cozy, and most importantly - it’s not clean. Totally not clean, tbo I was invited here first time and second time I wanted to give one more chance - impossible. It’s not clean, and staff isn’t clean - it’s very unpleasant to receive any food from such not a clean staff. What if food isn’t good? Under what conditions the food was prepared? Is it clean there? Such concerns raise. The second time it was a very negative situation, really dirty place. We were given not clean forks, one of them was broken. Both my two visits there were plastic spoons, are we pro-ecological? For the food that costs 48 PLN plus the price for the egg (I guess +5 PLN) I expect to have normal cutlery, neither plastic, nor broken. I can’t imagine coming to a dirty food place in the 21th century. It’s like super anti sanitary. I totally do not recommend. Additionally super small place and...
Read moreCame for its good reputation but it turned out to be a little bit disappointing. Maybe my hopes were too high. Ramen choices are shioyu (40zl), spicy miso(40zl), tantanmen (43zl) and its vegan version (42zl). Side dishes include kimchi (15zl), edamame and pork belly. Not having a big appetite, I ordered the highest priced tantanmen only. First, the noodles were quite thin and surprisingly slightly undercooked. Instead of minced meat, it came with pork strips or it called pulled pork. The Chinese pickles didn't do it good, either. The creamy broth was flavored enough and European standardized heat/spice. I don't mind giving its other options another try, considering its popularity and usual long queues as well as quite a few takeaways, but with lower hopes for sure. Indoor seating can accommodate fewer than 14 people, while the outdoor table may only fit two. Although with the AC on, it's quite stuffed sitting inside, with some occasional cool breeze from the...
Read moreI've ordered Asakusa Tantanmen and I was not impressed, overall 6/10. In detail below: Broth 8/10 - rich, and flavourfull. Very meaty in taste, for a lot of people this broth would be missing that sesame paste taste that was muted down by the meaty vibes, but it's not a big problem for me. Noodles 7/10 - okay but nothing out of ordinary, you'll get the same in every decent Ramen place but also better if you look for it (ex. Uki Uki) Meat 3/10 - pieces of meat bundled together, very fat, served with all the impurities and cartilage. Some pieces were chewy as hell. I understand for some ppl this is how they like their meat, but it's not for me. I've seen this done better. Toppings 4/10 - by default there is almost nothing there beside the noodles and meat - just some cashew nuts. I got an egg (you pay extra for it) but there was no greens (pak choy...
