MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER.. SCAM.. We went there 2 times. First one we served by a waitress who was far away from welcoming people with her face. Second one we went there was same waitress downstairs. Downstairs were completely empty, we wanted to sit whereever we want but waitress showed us a place strictly that we can sit there 😃As we are foreigners we do not know Polish and the mini menus were not in polish with meal ingredients, only meal names were in English. We ordered a soup, waitress did not warn us at all that there was a meat in it. We do not eat meat, I asked to change it with a vegetarian soup directly from floor manager, as waitress was completely unwelcoming and rude. It turn out the floor manager meant that we needed to read as it was written in mini menu that there is a meat inside, I mentioned several times that we do not know polish, she pointed to polish written menu saying it is written there 😃 I said it is pointless to discuss that with her we did not touch to soup and they charged us for that, it was less than 3 euros.. Well, they do not know how to treat customer, they do not know how to properly welcome and serve to the customer, they do not know how to be polite.. We would left immediately if we had more time before our flight, but we couldnt that time. if you go there and be the same situation as us, they will go after every zl even 1zl to charge you because it is a GREAT loss for their business, even if you ask few small breads with a soup, which this is given for free in many countries for the sake of humanity and kindness, they will even charge you for those little breads. So that was a really big scam, we will not go there again, I strongly recommend whoever read this till here, try going to other restaurant whom are more welcoming, polite and do not charge you for the things you dislike or want to return back. Absolutely...

During our visit to Warsaw, we decided to finally try Zapiecek, a well-known Polish franchise famed for its traditional cuisine. The restaurant’s warm ambiance and inviting décor offered a lovely start, and the drinks were spot on — refreshing and well-presented.
Unfortunately, the experience dipped from there. The place was packed, which led to noticeably slow service. Our waitress, although kind, was clearly overwhelmed and forgot our table a few times including bringing enough cutlery.
As for the food, I had high hopes given the reputation. The żurek was served with an entire sausage and an egg filled with horseradish on the side. Traditionally, I’d expect the sausage to be sliced and simmering within the soup alongside a soft egg — the presentation here felt more like a shortcut or a gimmick. The flaki (tripe soup) surprised me — it was actually quite tasty, which for me is unusual, as I typically avoid this dish. Ironically, the fact that I enjoyed it might mean it was far from a traditional recipe.
The standout of the night was definitely the ribs — fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavour. The potato pancake with mushroom sauce was hit-and-miss: the sauce was creamy and rich, but the pancake itself was quite hard and dry.
Overall, Zapiecek is a great intro for tourists wanting a taste of Polish fare in a cozy setting. But for someone familiar with authentic home-style Polish cooking, it misses the mark in several areas. Worth a try — just temper your expectations. #PolishFood #Zapiecek #RestaurantReview...
Read moreI went to this restaurant with 2 friends of mine, we're Italians so we don't speak Polish. The waiter was very unpolite while we were queuing because she asked if people behind us needed a table before us although they were behind us, skipping other two people only because we and the two people behind us were not Polish. Later she told us we needed to wait 1 hour for a table but the restaurant was almost empty with plenty of free tables. After 5 minutes and after many complaints she entered and she checked if we could sit. Finally we entered and we sit. However she almost threw the glasses on the table in a very rude way. Afterwards we ate pierogi (quite good but of course you cannot enjoy them in a place where they are racist and unpolite, therefore I cannot give 5 stars to food because of this behavior). 10 minutes after we were done with our dinner the waiter came to our table and took our plates very rudely without even asking if we would like something else. Eventually we wanted to pay separately and she didn't even listen to us and directly typed the entire sum on the payment machine. I am very upset to share this negative experience because we live in a civilized world and in the European Union, but apparently racist and unpolite people...
