Cooperage — Attraction in Zaanstad

This review covers the whole of the Zaanse Schans. I didn't like coming here one bit. This is a restored little Dutch village, with the small houses and gardens in which people once lived. The various different shops that cater to villagers are still standing strong as a tourist attraction. Sadly, I didn't enjoy this place. First of all, the place reeks! Thanks to the factories lining up the coast of the river, you can't get away from the horrible smell. It doea get better once you wander deeper in the vilage, but it was neverthelesa the downfall of Zaanse Schans. Plus, it honestly never felt authentic. I would highly recommend visiting the reap life small Dutch village by the name of Alkmaar not very far away. We've put an entire morning aside dedicated to visiting this place. Lugar super lindo, vale a pena a visita. Além dos moinhos vimos uma loja de produção dos tradicionais sapatos de madeira (aprendemos sobre a história e vimos um pouco do processo de produção). Passamos em uma loja com os queijos tradicionais da região, deu até pra experimentar, haviam sabores diferentes como por exemplo queijo de lavanda entre outros.
