I came here recently to collect an online order, I usually go to Sylvia Park or deliver. It was pretty chaotic, admittedly there was a lot of restocking happening, it felt like I was having to dodge or wait for staff who, seemingly, I must have been invisible too, which could explain why I heard so many expletives, nobody saw me so nobodyn needed to mind their language. No customer awareness. When I reached the collection counter, the older South asian female attendant cooly requested I follow her to the staff entrance at the back of the store, where she placed all of my items at my feet on the floor. I suggested to her I may need a trolley at which point she left, my items on the floor, me without a trolley, unable to carry all the items, and now unable to leave my paid items unattended to retrieve a trolley from the front of the store!!! Unsure if an insane lack of awareness or her sheer laziness. Either way, whomever employs staff here should watch the store videos, and I suggest some staff training wouldn't go astray. A kind lady gave me her basket trolley, else I would have had to risk leaving my paid items behind. In hindsight, and given the attendants example, I should have taken the item with the docket, left the rest to get my trolley to collect the remainder of the items from the floor stock and left the items at the back for her to sort over. No wonder the store is a shambles! After collecting a few other bits and reaching the payment area, a lovely older Pasifika woman helped with a return of part of my order, and assisted me with my additional items with a smile and a thank you as I left. What a stark contrast!!!! Put her in charge of customer service please!!!! It was a reminder of why I stopped shopping at...
Read moreEverything was sailing smoothly until the unthinkable happened… You see, I came to this Kmart to remove a security tag from my Winnie the Pooh Pjs. After this exchange was done I approached the person who was scanning the receipts at the entrance. They scanned it and I was about to leave when I remembered I ought to buy a gift box for a friend. Thats when the same person from the door and I heard some beeping at the entrance as a lady had just left the store. This person looked at me and called ME over to check my receipt AGAIN! I told her that my receipt was a couple days old and I had just come today to remove a security tag from my pyjamas. They just looked at me and went hmmmm. They thought I was suspicious when I was standing 30 feet from the door and was minding my own business. I am very unhappy this happened to me as I have not been ever accused of stealing which is what this person must have thought I was doing. I will forever remember this moment and I will boycott Hunters Plaza Kmart (I will be back...
Read moreKmart anywhere is my favorite. Thanks Australia. If you don't have to ask for actual help, in this store, in nz. Talk about minimal. Great products is why I shop there. Don't push your luck after that. I find the checkouts lazy. You ask for a computerised quote (They now say no) We dont do that!? Like you think they write it!?. It's not from Australia, that's lazy nz checkout operators or just in the last few years - protocols are not 'Nz friendly' to those less fortunate. Bias against beneficiaries in doing so. Australia misses on thousands of dollars because of these recent years of 'tardiness' entering our country. Nz Children, babies, families miss out on the economical products offered to us because these stores attitudes against what it is meant to support, its communities. It dies within. It's own credibility. Manukau - worst, extra lazy at this. Nz is already bias, you double it for families. Australia proud of you cousins. Thanks for your support, love' The...
