Le chemin piéton qui mène au sommet de Mount Eden est très accessible et vaut vraiment la peine d’être emprunté. La montée est progressive, bien balisée, et bordée de verdure. On croise des joggeurs, des familles, et beaucoup de voyageurs venus admirer la vue.

En prenant son temps, la marche est agréable, même pour des débutants, et offre déjà de beaux points de vue en chemin. En haut, la récompense est spectaculaire : le cratère impressionnant et une vue panoramique sur tout Auckland et le port.

The walking path up to the summit of Mount Eden is very easy to follow and absolutely worth it. The incline is gentle, clearly marked, and surrounded by greenery. You’ll see joggers, families, and plenty of visitors making their way up to admire the view.

Taking your time, the walk is enjoyable even for beginners, with lovely glimpses of the city as you climb. At the top, the reward is spectacular: the dramatic crater and sweeping panoramic views over Auckland and the harbor.

Found a car park easily and followed the sign and track up to the road. A short 10 to 15 mins walk uphill gets your heart pumping but it is totally worth the spectacular 360° panoramic views of Auckland.
