TaiPing Asian Supermarket Wairau 太平超市Wairau店 — Attraction in Kaipātiki

I don't live in the area nor go to this Taiping a lot, this is my first time here. Like other reviewers, I too found parking lot busy and backed up, so I parked across the road; only when I paid and was leaving that I was given a flyer with a notice that said there are more parking available at the places next door (Saturday and Sunday only). Good to see them trying to fix their parking issue. I give it 3 stars because I got the roasted duck and it didn't taste good and was chopped up atrociously (there were huge pieces and pieces connected). I got it during a special- don't know if that has anything to do with it; but there were no long lines and there were plenty of roast duck on display, so I can only assume their roast ducks are usually...

A very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. I have been to this supermarket many times, but this was the first time I encountered such an issue.

An employee stood too close to me, and as I turned around after picking up my items, I accidentally bumped into him. He could have easily waited a few seconds for me to leave before restocking—was it really impossible to wait just a moment?

When checkout, we were very shocked to find that the counter screen showed some Chinese red envelopes ($6) been scanned which we didn't intend to buy. It popped up on the screen ahead of our first item. I noticed myself and asked the staff what is that - it was removed from our list without apology or explanation. For us, there is no point to judge whether the staff did it with or without awareness. For other customers, please be mindful when you check out and watch out the screen/receipt.
