The products are great — no complaints at all about the quality. However, there was a disappointing moment in the customer service experience.
I had a simple question: Can a product be exchanged for another one of the same price, without a receipt, immediately after purchase (we had just left the store for 15 seconds)? I completely understand if the answer is no — all I hoped for was a clear, straightforward reply.
The staff member (round face girl) responded, “You don’t have a receipt,” and when I asked again, “So it’s not alright?” she looked into my eyes with an impatient expression, said, “no… Just wait for a couple of minutes.” So I thought there would be a solution since she let us wait, But after that, she didn’t make further contact, eye contact, or explanation, and simply left us waiting beside the cashier. Then another staff member came to the counter, who wasn’t attending any customers, but there was no handover or assistance offered either.
I work in customer service myself, and I understand how important clarity and kindness are — especially in moments like this. Even if something can’t be done, taking a second to acknowledge the customer properly can make all the difference.

Read moreI've been to a Daiso here or there so I knew what I was getting when I stepped into this shop. It's quite crowded with narrow aisle and tall shelving that is fully stocked with all sorts of things that would be very useful in a smaller apartment. Toys, shelving, cookware, flatware, desk organizers, tiny appliances, kitchenware, clothing, pens and pencils and more. It's a great opportunity for gifts and if you're paying attention, you'll realize how much of this stuff is quite useful.
I opted for a pretty little bowl (probably to be used for soy sauce) and a velcro cable organizer. Easy to ring them up and...
