Lambton Square — Attraction in North Island

Clean, attractive, modern foodcourt in a handy, central, CBD location serving different cuisines from a variety of stalls, accessible by stairs or escalators (which at the time of writing, is under maintenance so if you are mobility-impaired be aware, although there are lifts nearby).

Although the foodstalls are limited the seating is generous. There are the usual "social" seats and also cosy nooks for that private lunch. The city views are upclose and fabulous! Their toilet facility is 5-star (by any standard) rated for its cleanliness, spacious cubicles and modernity. All in all a pleasant place to meet up for lunch or coffee.

. (03/2017) A big and spacious food court with variety of eating outlets. Easily accessible from Lambton Quay as well as The Terrace. Plentiful food options in different cuisines including many vegan and vegetarian ones. Takeouts are available. Well managed and nicely maintained. A big seating area located at one end of the eatery. Food and value has improved over the last couple years - a bit. It's still pretty expensive mostly, crowded at peak lunch times, and the cleaners are pushy to the point of rudeness. Every time one comes over and clears my finished plate or dish just as soon as I've finished it. I usually have my lunch late when there's plenty spare tables and they still seem to want to hurry me along. Several times when I've stayed a little longer after finishing my food they have swept around me, knocking my chair with the broom. Chill the hell...
