Bed Bath N Table, has always been one of my favorite Australian stores â the product quality is consistently top-notch, and Iâve both gifted and received many beautiful items from here. Which makes it all the more disheartening to write this review, because the in-store experience at this particular Albany branch, is the complete opposite of what youâd expect from such a brand.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, there is zero customer service. Staff more interested in chatting with each other than engaging with customers. Ask about stock availability and youâre met with blank stares or a flat âwe donât have itâ â with no effort to check the system, the shelves, or suggest another branch that might carry it. To make it worse, staff seem to make up policies on the fly especially with laybys. The terms change depending on which staff member you speak to, with zero consistency or accountability.
On multiple visits, we've witnessed staff yelling across the shop floor over customersâ heads, leaving people wandering aimlessly and, more often than not, walking out empty-handed. Thatâs sales lost straight to your competitors.
Whoever thought this standard of service was acceptable should seriously reconsider â or reconsider their own position. There are plenty of people looking for work who would bring, at the very least, some basic customer etiquette...

Told me all of her throws were the same size as i unfolded maybe the third one. Yes i get it that its annoying you may need to fold it back nicely again but thats why you are paid to be there. And the throws are not on the shelves to just look pretty. Its there to be looked at and to be sold. Im sure thats what the employer would think at least. Please put a poster up if there is a limit to how many you could look. I will have to say many other times i have been in this store the other girls are...
Read moreExpensive, addictive and beautiful. However, in an effort to grab more profit they have now split up the Duvet and quilt cover offerings so that you have to purchase pillow cases separately!!! Without dropping the price of their duvets!!! So with pillow cases priced up $50 a pair with a Duvet cover around $200 this makes for an expensive visit. Now this really grinds my gears. Who wants a duvet cover without matching pillow cases. Not me. I have voted with my feet and won't shop there now in protest. Go to Wallace Cotton...if you can tolerate the snooty condescending shop assistants....they sell high end product WITH pillow cases....
