Read moreI went there to get a SD card and needed assistance from the employee (to open the locker so that I can grab one and pay) but no one there wanted to help. I waved at some of the people but they managed to shy away from me in a distance (I was told later that people only take care of their own department). After waiting there for about 15 mins, I went to the information centre for help. The lady told me that the guy I was looking for should already be there while I walked toward her so I went back but still didn’t see the person. With some frustration, I played around with the demo laptop and managed to trigger the alarm on it to draw attention. It did work well - the guy who takes care of the digital department, his manager, and the security guard came ASAP. The security person asked me if I triggered the alarm just because I wanted them to help. After he got the confirmation from me, he immediately asked me to leave the store. I argued with the security guard and the manager. Here are their points: The person who takes care of the digital department was helping out another customer to move his TV to the car and no one else has the key to the locker so I have to wait. They can’t do anything about it because it is how the company works. I shouldn’t trigger the alarm on the laptop because it’s not an acceptable way to ask for help. Look, my friends. There were plenty of the employees from other department did nothing but small talking at that time. I thought it would be nice if they understand how to work as a team and offload some TV moving task off a guy who need to serve other customers. Moreover, the company tolerates employee keep ignoring customers’ requests so that the only way for the customer to draw attention is to trigger the alarm is insane. Anyway, well done the warehouse group. Keep it up and next year will be a better...
Read moreI today had the misfortune of collecting a click and collect order from the Albany store. To say that I was both annoyed and dissatisfied with your so called customer friendly service is the only positive in the experience. I arrived to find no queue system whatsoever. I logged in via your virtual queue. This is a joke. Your screen cheekily says that you will only hold the order for 15 minutes. Well my total experience took one hour and then only because I became so angry that I and two other customers approached the table and demanded service. Another poor customer who also had waited for some time asked for a chair for his wife who had a leg injury. They were told “sorry we don’t have any chairs in the store”. I know for sure that you sell chairs. The long and short of this is that you should learn from your fellow retailers. Rebel, Briscoes, Animates all offer a service. You guys I’m afraid can’t call your click and collect a service. It is rather a disservice . You lost a whole handful of customers today. Oh and by the way my order was incomplete. Even after arguing with your team member where he insisted that it was all there - it obviously wasn’t....
