Parnell Farmers' Market – Where Broccoli Meets Boujee Vibes 🥦🧁☕
Every Saturday like clockwork, this lil’ market pops off behind the Parnell Community Centre, a chill spot where veggies, pies, and people-watching collide.
Street parking? Free on weekends. Big W. Crowds? Yeah, they show up but you won’t get trampled unless you try stealing someone’s samosa. Stalls? Stacked. You got pizza, pies, Indian food, vegan bites, popcorn, coffee — enough to make your stomach say “bring it on.”
💸 Prices? Not dirt cheap, but not robbery either. Classic Auckland-level average. 🪑 Tables and chairs? Limited. You sit, you win. 🚻 Toilets? Maybe inside the hall if not, good luck and strong bladder vibes.
Starts early, wraps by 12PM (don’t listen to that one guy who thinks it's open till 2). Overall: solid vibes, great morning stroll, and good food if you beat the brunch crowd.

Read moreOh, every Saturday ritual now. Nice vibe. It's a great way to start the day, too. It's really hard to go past a few stores without chatting to the vendors because they remember you and have a good old Auckland yarn....which I'm still getting used to because I'm new to Auckland. I'd hate to highlight one vendor over another because those I visit weekly were great, and some retailer I don't have a need for their service's but they're just nice too! It's a little hard to find if you don't know it's on. It took me 3 months of driving past the place before I noticed a tiny sign on the main road. I've taken almost all of my staff for breakfast there before work and always take away extra food for later on. Actually, there are also some nice shops right next to the markets which are awesome too! I've discovered a couple of local businesses that I've had to go back too as well. It's a small market...
Read moreThis farmer's market is relatively small and lacks sufficient seating space for enjoying a meal. However, nearby coffee shops provide an opportunity to find seating if needed. The standout attraction of the market was the Napoleon pizza stand, which caught my eye. The pizza, known as the Napoli Project, looked impressive, with a clever wooden fire oven mounted on a UTi car.
Upon trying the pizza, I found it to be satisfactory, although the ingredients used seemed to be on the cheaper side. The dough appeared to be made with all-purpose flour, and the sauce appeared to be made from canned tomatoes, resulting in a slightly heavier pizza than usual. Nevertheless, the cheese used was decent, and fresh parsley was added as well. Overall, my experience with the Napoli Project pizza was enjoyable, and while it may not have been outstanding, it was still a good option for the price...
