We dined at the Newmarket branch last night, and I cannot wait to go back! Despite it being only their second night in service, the food was absolutely fantastic, and I truly hope this restaurant gets the patronage it deserves.
There were three of us, and although we did not have a huge appetite, what we ordered was more than enough – I even took leftovers home! The lamb Momo Sapta was fried and paired with a perfectly balanced Nepalese sauce made of tomatoes, capsicums, and onion. We also tried the chicken Sekewa and the Himalayan Chef Special Koyla Curry, both infused with a wonderful charcoal flavour that lingered beautifully on my palate.
I usually order medium spice, but to accommodate our party, we ordered everything mild. Surprisingly, this was perfectly spicy for me, and as someone used to a bit of heat, I think the higher spice levels could be too hot for some.

And the cheese naan? Oh. My. Carb. It was like a gooey pillow of joy that made my mouth sing and my arteries question my life choices. I think I blacked out for a moment after the third bite and woke up with a cheese mustache and a new perspective on life.
The staff were friendly, the vibes were chill, and the food was so good I briefly considered moving to the Himalayas in search of the secret recipe. 10/10 would ascend this flavor mountain again.
Namaste, and...
