Auckland
Wow, Auckland is a place so familiar to me where the place makes me so enjoyable, relaxing, and lots of joy.
I'm sure as a visito, return to New Zealand for a visit is another great memory for me 2023.
This time for me is too short. Traveling i very intensive and rush this time, only 4 nights.
You may be asking me why am spending time too short in Auckland.
w... this s is because....that's a long story.
We better sit down having a beer facing the sea, listening and communicating with the sea Gul, enjoying the sun, and smiling to the wind. Maybe we can pick up at night, look up the sky, and see the galaxy, and let's check my guiding star ,Orion.
Food is still very delicious. I have steak and cheese pies or mince and cheese pies and glasses of ice creamy chocolate for my breakfast.
Lovely fish and chips as my lunch, at night drop in a bar and having some pizza, some spicy ribs, Buffalo wings, melted cheese nachos, queso tacos, and fully loaded fires and best with craft beer. All tastes good.
At very night time drive to the beaches and get ready and set up the camping chairs, having some old music, having some NZ craft beers and NZ made chips, tasting some favors such as the ready salt, sour cream, or BBQ. Plus, enjoy the waves and the sound of the music. Wow...what a life.
This is not a killing time. That's a life you can spend time with friends and family and nature.
Playing some games chatting around. That makes yourself so much better and releases all your down feelings.
I could say I may come back again and...
Read moreAuckland Domain is Auckland's oldest park and one of the largest. Developed on 75 hectares around the cone of an extinct volcano. The 'tuff rings' created by volcanic activity can be seen in the land contours and forms a natural amphitheatre.
The park is home to one of Auckland's main tourist attractions, the Auckland War Memorial Museum, which sits prominently on the crater rim (tuff ring).
Several sports fields occupy the floor of the crater, circling to the south of the cone, while the rim opposite the Museum hosts the cricket pavilion and Auckland City Hospital. The Domain Wintergardens, with two beautiful glass houses, lie on the north side of the central scoria cone.
The fernery has been constructed in an old quarry in part of the cone. The duck ponds lie in the northern sector of the explosion crater, which is breached to the north with a small overflow stream.
Auckland Domain/Pukekawa is the remnant of the ancient volcano Pukekawa. Its crater extends around the outside of the sport fields. The small volcanic hill is Pukekaroa, the site of a pa inhabited and fought over by many different iwi (tribes) throughout the early history of...
Read moreA great little haven in the centre of the city, the Auckland domain has a lot to offer. It has plenty of green space that is often filled with locals playing cricket and football and a variety of other sports. There is a large grandstand which is excellent for sitting and enjoying the views while watching these games. There are lots of walking tracks through the trees, for those with a little more exercise in mind, and a pretty duck pond with advice on how to safely feed the ducks. The museum is also well worth a visit, and looks stunning in the centre of the domain. Unlike many New Zealand museums, it does cost money; however, the exhibits change regularly, and even as a local, I like to go at least once a year. I would also highly recommend the winter gardens, which are located in the heart of the domain, near the overpriced but tasty cafe. Through these gardens, you can access the fernery. Throughout the domain, there are many benches, statues, and flower gardens, all of which contribute to the domain being more than just a green space, but a small piece of paradise in the middle of New Zealand's...
