I'll be straight up honest. Mainly had a great experience except for one incredibly rude staff member. After he concert I attended ended there were plastic cups all over the floor, I decided to help and pick some up except one staff member came over and practically yelled at me telling me that I was getting in the way. This is the treatment you get for being nice here. Another staff member was there for what happened and told me after that he was typically rude to everyone. Still not behaviour you would expect from someone who is meant to be in charge. Great kudos to the guy that came to apologize on the behalf of him though. Thank you.

Regardless of that awful experience, drinks were reasonably priced, a little on the expensive side but nothing you can't deal with. Toilets were tidy and clean. Security were kind enough. Roughly a...

Didn't end up going to the venue. However a sit down music event at city hall got rescheduled here last minute, which meant it went from seated to standing. Due to some serious problems with my legs I would have never booked tickets knowing standing would be a possibility for that long. I contacted the venue and they were amazing offering to help by letting me in a few minutes early to secure seats and were so kind and understanding. Unfortunately with how last minute all the changes were I had secured a refund before I heard back from them.

But just a massive thumbs up to them for going out of their way to try and help when I'm sure it chaos for them to organize all of this last minute and deal with frustrated people when none of it was their fault.

Would definitely go here...

Had totally forgotten how cool this place was, as it's been a few years since my last visit!

Staff were amazing and totally seemless with entry into the venue! The queue was all the way down to the lights, and yet it moved so quickly.

Bar staff were fantastic and really friendly. The ladies selling the merchandise were busy right throughout the concert, and stock sold out quickly.

Fabulous night out, and this was Nothing But Thieves first time to New Zealand, with a second night added after selling out the venue.

I was really surprised by the crowd, who were a really widespread bunch of fan's, but very well behaved and sang along happily to every song.

From the lead singer's comment's, they will certainly be back again!

Thanks...

What an incredible music venue! I went to see Fleet Foxes and was unsure how early I needed to show up to secure a good spot but an hour before doors opened was plenty to get us right in front of the stage. It's a pretty small venue so even if you came later you should be able to get a decent view. There's the ground floor area as well as an upper floor balcony. The venue is R18 and there's a bar downstairs. There is no allocated seating but there are a few seats around the edges and staff seemed helpful about accommodating those who needed to sit (e.g. there was one woman attending on crutches). It's a great intimate venue without the craziness of somewhere like spark arena and I will definitely be returning next time someone I want to see plays here!

Love this venue! The first time I went here was 25 years ago. Stunning photographs don the walls in a way which encapsulates spectacular musical genius and further promotes this unique live music venue with a genuine quality that most seem to lack these days. The sound quality is fantastic and all areas have good visibility of the stage. This is a venue dedicated to the musicians and those who desire a fairly intimate experience to soak up their performance. The first band I saw here was No Doubt and last weekend it was Beth Orton, with many spectacular bands in between. If there's a band you want to see and they're playing here, go!
