We highly prefer outdoor activities to museums so this was right up our alley. It's also free, so you really can't beat it. It's right off of the trolley stop, so it's easy to get to as well.

This is a really large sculpture park. It's a beautiful park and the sculptures are well incorporated. It's very mature focused, not an overly groomed park. There are benches throughout if you're looking to relax.

At the entrance, there is a map that shows different paths and where the sculptures are. This is a good way to make sure you see them all if that's what you're looking for. There are some very bizarre statues.

It's a very hilly park, so you'll get your exercise in. There is one place in the park that has a really good view of the city.

This was one of our favorite things that we did in Oslo and I would highly recommend it to...

lovely forest park with interesting sculptures. You can walk park for free in summer and winter. Some of the paths are a bit steep so it may be tricky to walk it in winter. Last winter it was all covered by ice and walk was quite dangerous. There are lovely views over Oslo fjord and the town, and there is a nice restaurant with the best view. You can spend whole day walking and exploring. There is a museum as well, where you can learn about Ekeberg history. It was a bit scary experience seeing there a big iron eagle I wouldn't want to see any more in public place. There was an explanation why it was there, but still...I thing it is not appropriate displaying it there and anywhere else. My trip was spoiled by that experience. But the view of the fjord...

The Ekebergparken park is, as the official site says: ''Sculpture and national heritage park with a strong international art collection surrounded by beautiful scenery with many spectacular lookouts.'' The park is open 24/7 and the entrance is free. It has multimedia showcases also so pay close attention to your surroundings. One of the best ways to have panoramic view of the town. The park is walkable within 1.5 hours. Sculptures and trails are interesting and well maintained. Inside the park you'll see a big kamping area as well as some large areas for piknik. Overall, lovely place to go for a run, hike or just to be in the nature...

Visited this park very early in the morning. Was able get wonderful view of the Norway city from top. It showed that it is open 24*7. I visited after 8 am. Still there was noone there to help or enquire, no help window or anything. I was tired of walking 15 km the previous day hence couldn't walk much to see each and every sculpture. But this park has slopes so if you're really in mood of small hike, do come here. Sculptures are good , located randomly. And no standard theme to the sculptured. One is about a girl, one is about some rotating structure whereas one is naked woman covered in white cloth(looks scary from a distance) ☺️
