Read moreEkebergparken is an excellent city park to get some outdoor exercise, view cultural displays (sculptures, display art), and enjoy the wonderful vistas of Oslo and its inner fjord. Trails are well laid out (mostly gravel with some steps) in a thin wooded area.
We entered the park at Konowsgate (near Paul McCarthy's unfortunate "art"), which is 2.2km from our accom just north of Oslo S (fascinating varied cultural communities along the Gronland route). Soon after the entrance, we passed the Huldra scupture and took the left fork up the hill to Munchpunket. A bit of huff and puff to that point, but a few locals were running up and down the trail with much less exertion. We proceeded further up the hill to the Klang exhibit.
From Klang, many other art displays and trails, but we headed over to the views at Ekebergutsikten and the impressive Chloe art -- a flat optical illusion of a female head.
