Ekebergparken ijust a park—it’s an unforgettable journey through art, nature, and breathtaking vistas. Perched high above Oslo, this iconic destination offers unparalleled panoramic views of the city and Oslofjord. From sunrise to sunset, the scenery will leave you speechless—a living postcard of Norway’s capital. But the view is just the beginning. Ekebergparken is home to an extraordinary collection of sculptures and art installations by world-renowned artists. Each piece tells a story, creating a dialogue between nature and creativity. As you stroll through the park’s enchanting pathways, it’s as if the statues are whispering secrets of history and imagination directly to you. This is not just a visit—it’s an experience that lingers with you long after you leave. For the adventurous, Ekebergparken offers some of Oslo’s best hiking and mountain biking trails. Winding through dense forests and serene landscapes, these trails cater to all skill levels. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful walk or an adrenaline-pumping ride, you’ll find your perfect escape here. If you’re visiting Oslo, Ekebergparken is an absolute must. It’s more than a destination; it’s a memory waiting to be made. Don’t just see Oslo—experience it from the heart of Ekebergparken. Highly recommended for those who crave beauty, inspiration, and adventure!

Ekebergparken is an excellent city park to get some outdoor exercise, view cultural displays (sculptures, display art), and enjoy the wonderful vistas of Oslo and its inner fjord. Trails are well laid out (mostly gravel with some steps) in a thin wooded area. We entered the park at Konowsgate (near Paul McCarthy's unfortunate "art"), which is 2.2km from our accom just north of Oslo S (fascinating varied cultural communities along the Gronland route). Soon after the entrance, we passed the Huldra scupture and took the left fork up the hill to Munchpunket. A bit of huff and puff to that point, but a few locals were running up and down the trail with much less exertion. We proceeded further up the hill to the Klang exhibit. From Klang, many other art displays and trails, but we headed over to the views at Ekebergutsikten and the impressive Chloe art -- a flat optical illusion of a female head. Great views there and nearby Kongsveien road of the city and inner Oslo fjord. A trail back down the hill begins at Ekebergutsikten and returned us to our original entrance.
