Moren, often referred to as "The Mother," is a prominent sculpture located in Oslo, Norway. Created by the renowned Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland, it is part of the larger Vigeland Installation in Frogner Park, which is one of Oslo's most famous tourist attractions.

The sculpture depicts a woman, embodying the essence of motherhood, cradling a child in her arms. This piece is a powerful representation of maternal love, care, and the nurturing bond between a mother and her child. The figure is carved from granite, showcasing Vigeland's exceptional skill in capturing human emotion and form in stone.

Moren is situated within a vast collection of Vigeland's works, which include over 200 sculptures in bronze, granite, and wrought iron. The Vigeland Installation is unique in that it is the largest sculpture park in the world by a single artist, and it reflects Vigeland's deep exploration of the human condition, life cycles, and relationships.

The park itself is beautifully landscaped, providing a serene and contemplative environment for visitors to appreciate the art. Moren, as part of this installation, stands as a testament to the universal themes of family, love, and the enduring strength of maternal bonds. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Oslo, offering both artistic and...
