Very lovely short stretch of beach. There are nice clean wooden benches around that you can sit and relax while looking out to the waters. Ducks and swans floating around on the water and people swimming too. There is also a floating dock where people can swim over and hang around. I was there during the summer nights around 9pm and it was still bright and crowded. Highly recommended to visit.

Dirty public toilets, no shade (trees) and sand full of bird litter and sigarette butts. The area is not well kept.

In other countries you see municipal services clean the beach (including sand) in the morning in order to keep the beach tidy, here the beach is littered with bird droppings. If it wasn't for the prime location and actual serenity it brought to the kids, aside from the availability for people to gather easily, it would have been scathed. Oslo can and should do...
