Lovely small museum of the history of Iquitos and the Amazon, with a special focus on the rubber trade. I leaned lots of fascinating things that gave me more appreciation for the town and region, and the simple exhibits really helped bring to life a very different era in Iquitos, when there was so much wealth, some families would ship their laundry to London to be washed. For your entrance fee (10 Sol?) they include a really nice 30 min boat tour on the river in a small boat. We took this just at sunset, and it was a great way to unwind from our day, and get some more perspective on the relationship the river plays in the modem life of Iquitos.

Hard to beat for the price (10 Soles I think). It includes a short boat ride in the river which is nice if you aren't taking a longer boat tour anywhere. The boat has an interesting history and museum based on the Rubber Trade that created Iquitos' boom and abuses the early 1900's. The rooms have A/C too which is refreshing on a hot Amazon day.

A great place to visit to get the feel of Iquitos before 1921 . And on top of this they showed the film Fitzcaraldo. I really enjoyed watching the film on the boat , On the river. It was a great experience . What a great ideas . Unfortunately the film lacked the last minutes. 10 sols don't hesitate .

Best tourist attraction in Iquitos City, at least for me. Really interesting history of the rubber boom and its decline, creepy statues with oversized outfits, great maps and memorabilia - just a cool experience that you can spend 1-2 hours with, and they were dog friendly to us! Highly recommend.

The price is 10 soles, unfortunately they don't show Fitzcarraldo movie anymore... Also the boat trip is for additional price - +9 soles. Still worth to go and see 100 years old steam ship, rellict of the past.

Very nice discovery in Iquitos! We enjoyed to read the stories of the rubber-era of Iquitos. Very interesting. Would definitely recommend! (10 soles)
