Restaurante Fitzcarraldo — Restaurant in Iquitos

First time here. Service was the best. Got the ensalada fitzcarraldo. It was a sizable dish for the price- it had hearts of palm, l lettuce, onion, quail eggs, tomatoes, and I went with a light oil and lemon dressing.

Travelling by myself and the service was absolutely wonderful. The waitress Yanire understood (through my limited Spanish) that I was lost & couldn’t find my way back to my hotel. My phone wasn’t working very well. She pulled out the iPad and helped me map my way back. the location on malecon is nice, food is decent (had a burger) but what drives me crazy and the reason i gave 2 stars is they give you crap quality salsas/condiments in the tiny packages. this is ridiculous and inexcusable especially in an amazonian river city that already suffers from such bad plastic pollution problems. if the owner reads this, please start giving some decent condiments out of respect for the environment and also to show respect to the quality of your food and not ruin it with cheap and...

This is the best restaurant in Iquitos. A proper restaurant with delicious local food, vegan and vegetarian friendly as well. I’m a pescatarian, and I recommend the paiche wrapped in bajo leaves. It’s also got memorabilia from the movie Fitzcarraldo (which is a fabulous movie to watch by Werner Hertzog if you are visiting Iquitos). I’ve spent many nights here in Iquitos and I sincerely recommend this place for the food and vibe.
