We had an incredible experience at Inkzomia Tattoo in Boracay. They surpassed all of our expectations! My wife, brother-in-law, and I decided to get tattoos in the middle of our Philippines trip. The day before we landed in Boracay, I looked up the top rated tattoo shop in the area. A few shops came up and we contacted them all. But decided to go with Inkzomia based on their profile and overall vibe when we spoke to them online.
We only had 4 days in Boracay and we each wanted medium to large pieces. So, we didn't have much time. During our in person consultation, we spoke with Jeremy. He was very professional, attentive, and hilarious. We immediately felt assured that we picked the right shop. I wanted a half sleeve, my wife wanted a tattoo that spanned her back, and my brother-in-law wanted a forearm piece. Jeremy took our ideas and would get back to us with their interpretation of what we wanted.
The next day we were ready for a long day of tattoos. Jelo would be working on my sleeve and I was blown away with what he came up with. Jelo is a master at what he does. The design, detail, line work and shading is top tier. 12 hours later I had a sick half sleeve that looks better than I imagined.
Another artist (didn't catch his name) worked on the piece for my wife and again, the detail and workmanship were top notch. Her piece took 5 hours to complete. My wife was very happy with her tattoo.
Chill did the forearm piece for my brother-in-law and his skills are incredible as well. Straight lines, masterful shading, and a pleasure to deal with. 8 hours later, my bro had his first tattoo and was blown away by how good it was.
Jeremy was in the shop and he was working on another customers leg piece which was beautiful too.
Finally, Kim was working hard holding the front of house down and supporting the tattoo artists as they needed.
The whole shop worked as a team to give everybody the tattoo they can get. Ego's are left at the door with this team and I watched them bounce ideas off each other as they worked on us to give us the pieces we wanted.
Thanks again to all of you. This was one of the best parts of our trip. I can't wait to come back to...
Read moreI’d been contemplating getting a tattoo for over 10 years—countless “almosts” and endless stories or excuses to myself, my family, and my friends about why it wasn’t the right time. But this year was different. I finally felt ready, with a clearer vision of what I wanted.
After many late nights researching and talking to different artists and shops around the island, I came across Inkzomia. From the glowing Google reviews to their quick Instagram response, and finally to my first visit—I instantly knew this was the place.
Angel (Jelo) Lachica designed both my 3/4 sleeve and my forearm tattoo. Jelo completed the sleeve on his own, while both he and Nhel worked on my forearm. Every single line was placed with intention and precision, and their shading? Next-level; it’s art you can feel, literally and figuratively.
What stood out even more than their technical skill was their personality. They treat every customer like family. They’re not just about the money—they’re about the experience, making sure you’re truly happy with what you’re getting. The pieces they created for me are beyond anything I could have imagined—completely original. Now I understand why all their posts say “thank you for trusting us”—because that’s exactly what you’re doing, and they do everything possible to honor that trust.
Getting my first tattoos with them unlocked something in me I didn’t even know was there. I walked in for art but walked out with two new brothers and an extended family I’ll visit again next time I’m on the island.

Read moreI was in the studio two nights ago with a group of others. 3 of us had tattoos, each by a different artist. 2 came out great but mine did not - the finish on the tattoo is terrible. The lines are not straight, the lines for the bottom of the boat are thicker than the sail and the sun and in the design they were all the same width (one of the other artists also assured me the tattoo would have fine lines of the same width). The tattooist did not even shave the area before he started! And my friends who watched all said that his work was messy compared to the other two i.e. there was ink everywhere. It also took him a very long time for what was a very simple tattoo (my friend had two detailed, fine line manta rays and mine took almost as long - see photos for how simple). Other team members also came over to have a look, presumably because of how long it was taking or because they were worried he had messed up - it made me very nervous. It’s not fair to treat customers that way - just because it was a simple tattoo, doesn’t mean you can allow a tattooist who is inexperienced or incapable to do it. I have this for the rest of my life now.
See below for the design (I asked for the boat without the sea, moon and stars from picture 1 and to add the sun from picture 2). The last picture is how...
