Rating my personal experience at Astoria Boracay a 5 out of 5 for this resort / hotel provided the following: - Seamless transfer. I contacted their front office to arrange our hotel transfer and the arrangement was absolutely perfect. You see traveling with a toddler nowadays makes the entire experience whole tedious process and being parents at this time, we want to have a travel experience that is just less stressful on our end… and astoria boracay staff made that possible for us from arrival at the airport down to sea transfer and van transfer. I am but so thankful the staff are highly alert most especially if one has a baby or toddler, they know exactly how to assist their guests. - Seamless check in. We ensured to arrive in the afternoon due to their check in policy. Checking in was speedy and considerate. We love the welcome drinks! We appreciate our van driver who was also our luggage assistant. How versatile! - Breakfast Buffet. We stayed at astoria for 4 days. Hence, the food offered at the buffet is of variety. Everyday their breakfast choices changes. My daughter extremely loved the fruit selection! - Medical Emergency. Accidents do happen and so unfortunate it happened to us the night before our check out. Gosh my toddler had a fall and I immediately requested for medical assistance. The staff at ASTORIA BORACAY immediately provided ice pack and brought us to the nearest medical clinic and ER to get my daughter checked. Thankful no fracture was observed. As a medical professional myself, even though there was no nurse or doctor on site, the staff immediately responded to the medical emergency. In less than 10 minutes we were brought to the nearest clinic to see a doctor. - LOCATION. The location of astoria boracay is fundamentally prime. It’s beach front. It’s close to the sea port. It’s close to many other boracay restaurants and grocery (thanks to e trike). If you wish to walk to d mall from astoria, may take 15-20 minutes. - TODDLER FRIENDLY. - Invaluable staff. You see despite of the good marketing in any properties, customer service seriously makes the connection. For instance, we had a medical emergency the night before our check out. On the day of our check out, everyone at the front office and even the driver checked up on my daughter to see how she is doing! How amazing and emphatic their employees are! Anyways, Astoria Boracay is highly commendable from my own experience. I do think astoria boracay treats their staff well as they manifest it professionally. Till our next stay, Astoria Boracay!

Astoria in Station 1 is a decent size and perfect location if you want lesser crowded area that has beach front view. You were given welcome drinks and snacks which you can enjoy while overlooking at the beach. Although when we arrived at the hotel past 1PM, the staff said we go back to the reception at 2PM which is the check-in time because there are no available rooms yet and they are still cleaning it which is fine. When we got back at the reception at 2PM, the room is still not available. They said they will just call us when it’s ready. So we decided to walk around the beach area and got back to the hotel past 3PM. Not much amenities inside the hotel but the room is spacious enough and has some extra features such as a balcony, microwave and kitchen utensils, mini kitchen sink, coffee table and working table which is adjacent to the tv area. Their shower room is also spacious enough although I wish they have extra towels for hands and/or face. As for the breakfast, they have plenty enough kinds of dish while most of it is a Filipino food. They had main dish such as rice, pork, chicken, fish. They also have egg station, bread station, fruits and salad station, drinks station, soup and cereal station. They also offer lunch and dinner buffet and some snacks like Bibingka which is bigger than usual. There was just one weird evening/early morning when we woke up and there were many dead flying termites in the room. We suspect those insects fell from their AC which is installed on the ceiling. We also got to avail of their private transfer service from the hotel to the the airport which is very convenient and fast. We were surprised that they have a private boat and van. There were only 2 sets of customers when we were transferred. Nonetheless, we would still try to go back to this hotel when we had the chance. This hotel is perfect if you’re planning to stay more outside and want value for money.

A fantastic boutique hotel resort with clean contemporary rooms, excellent staff service, and delicious dishes. We stayed for 5 days at a Premium room, 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. Very comfortable bed, large TV, strong AC, great shower pressure, plenty of closet space. I wish they had more drawers for clothes and more places to hang wet towels and swimwear in the bathroom. Pool is great for swimming laps or lounging around. The food is absolutely worth it -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner -- from local Filipino cuisines to more western dishes. Each night has a different theme. One night two performers were singing. The staff are attentive and well-trained. Astoria Boracay has superb staff from booking, traveling by speedboat and vans, checking-in and -out, to security and pool staff, room service, and dining areas. We were specially impressed by Loreto who took great care of us during our stay. I wish that Astoria Boracay had a beach front with lounge chairs and drinks/food service. We come to Boracay to enjoy the beach. We actually had to go to other resorts to "rent" their lounge chairs and enjoy the sand and sea. We also couldn't go swimming in front of the resort due to sailboats docked at the beach. A HUGE miss for Astoria Boracay!

Let me start with the positives. The location of Astoria Boracay is undeniably fantastic, situated right in front of the beach. The picturesque setting and beautiful surroundings create the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The hotel itself is well-maintained, and the staff members were consistently friendly throughout our stay, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction.

However, my enthusiasm was quickly dampened by an unfortunate incident. During our stay, a staff member named Camille Flores approached us with what seemed like a generous promotion - a complimentary dinner coupon for four. Excited about the prospect of a free meal, we agreed to attend the dinner at 5:30 PM as suggested by Camille.

Upon arriving at the designated time, we were promptly seated at our table by the accommodating staff. It was during this dinner that we realized the promotion was not what it seemed. Camille had informed us that the purpose of the free dinner was to entice us to return to Boracay and choose Astoria for our next stay. However, what followed felt like a deception on Astoria Boracay's part. We were informed that, in exchange for the free dinner, we were required to stay for an hour to listen to a presentation about their timeshare program.

This unexpected turn of events left a bitter taste in our mouths. Astoria Boracay failed to market their property transparently and honestly. They used false advertising to lure us in, and the experience ultimately wasted our valuable vacation time. People go on vacation with limited days, and we all strive to make the most of every moment. This incident was a clear betrayal of our trust as guests.

In conclusion, while Astoria Boracay has its merits, the disappointment caused by their misleading promotion and lack of transparency overshadowed the positives of our stay. I would strongly advise against anyone considering this establishment, especially my friends from both the United States and the Philippines, as I believe there are more reputable and honest options available in Boracay. Astoria Boracay, please take this as an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and be forthright in your marketing efforts...

Friendly staff and very accommodating atmosphere. Kudos to the front desk, pool staff and F&B personnel. 5 stars indeed. Will surely be back next time. Above was a review left before we checked out as the whole duration of our stay was superb. Not going to change the 5 stars because the commended people deserves it.

However, I want to also share that we had an unpleasant experience today. We planned to extend our stay last minute and immediately booked at a nearby hotel to enjoy Boracay even more thus, the extension.

As we were enjoying the sun given there's a beautiful weather today, Oct 21st, we were on our way to Starbucks to beat the heat and bumped into a man offering a complimentary buffet dinner with Astoria. Told this same man that we were checked in from 18-20 in the same hotel via voucher they gave us freely. Still, he insisted to give the complimentary dinner buffet despite all my explanation. Asked my number and gave instructions.

Planned our day well to be ready with the time given and voila, when we were there, there were groups of membership promoters whom we only noticed the first time after 3 days and 2 nights of staying with them, it was not the same aura or situation we had when we have availed their buffet offering for 3 times - 2 dinner and 1 breakfast. We explained the same with the supervisor in charge with their membership promotion about the case because we have a meeting to attend to by 7pm thus, we cannot afford to add another appointment at the same time. Plus, we have availed a free accommodation via voucher.

Asked for 5 minutes of privacy to discuss with my partner and politely declined their offer to have another 60-min discussion to promote their membership. Expressed our frustration and dismay to the supervisor because we were transparent with everything and that it should not be a right way to invite people to get a membership. We were still offered after realizing our frustration but still declined given the experience. Ended up leaving the restaurant dismayed and with a ruined night.

Just a right way to ruin someone's Boracay experience, yes,...
