White beach is the main attraction of Boracay. It is famous for it's white powdery sand and calm and crystal clear water. Boasting a 4km long stretch of coast line, there is more than enough space for everyone.
You can just laze at this beach and soak up the sun. There are many water activities here too. We tried the stand-up paddling and the crystal canoe. Price start at abt Php400 for a 30 mins duration. Do came early as the vendor was kind enough to allow us to use the equipments for 40 mins as we were his first customer for the day.
We were informed by the locals that the best time to visit boracay is during the dry season. Dry season starts from November to April. It will be warm and there will be a lot of sunshine. It will also be an excellent time to enjoy the beach and get a perfect tan. Do try to avoid the wet season, which begins in May and runs until October. The wet season is characterised by extreme rains, high tides and...
Read moreThe White beach is majestic! This is why I fell in love with Boracay because of their white fine sand, the sunset, the beach path and the sea. It is also accessible to hotels, shops and restaurants which is good if you just want to stay on the beach instead of doing activities. The beach path is also firm and can be good for running with a beautiful view. During our visit last June, the waters were clear and no sign of seaweeds. The waters were also calm. But we have noticed that the seaweeds were present in March. The sunset was beautiful but there were a lot of parawsails and can be crowded depending on what station you are. The beach is also regularly cleaned which is important as it is a popular tourist spot. Just be aware that there will be people offering tours around but can...
Read moreA postcard beach that reminded me a lot of the Mediterranean. The water is crystal-clear and the light breeze and white, soft sand make it perfect. Lots of palm trees to get some shade. It's nicely quiet in the morning but lots of people in the afternoon. The beach is descending gently, I did not spot any currents and waves are very low / non-existent. You're not allowed to smoke or drink liquor at the beach, and we found surprisingly little trash on the beach, which is nice. I tried snorkeling near the shore but as it's all sand, there's almost nothing to see except few little...
