Even assuming that the filters are cleaned or changed, which is highly unlikely, In the open air shack shake within a huge mall it is obviously useless. The mall opens later than scheduled. Today about 20 min late. The air conditioners in the mall are not turned on until around the same time, 10:20am, so it's unbearably hot for 80 min or so before things cool down. To begin cooling this mall before it opens to achieve a target temperature at opening costs almost no extra electricity. It should be easy to get a programmable remote thermostat.
