We recently visited a charming coffee shop around BGC that caters primarily to fast-paced customers and those on the go. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Ordering and Payment: The coffee shop uses a self-order system, which is efficient and straightforward. For those who might need assistance, there's always someone available to help. It’s important to note that the shop is entirely cashless. Initially, we weren’t aware of this, but luckily, we had GCash and a card on hand.
Self-Service Corner: After placing your order, you can head to the self-service corner where you can find cup covers, extra sugar, tissues, and stirring sticks.
Seating and Facilities: The seating arrangements are mostly small tables designed for two people. This layout reinforces the shop’s focus on quick visits rather than prolonged stays. One downside is the absence of a CR, which might be inconvenient for some.
Coffee Quality: The coffee here is exceptional. I tried the Butterscotch and Sea Salt flavors, both of which were outstanding. The rich, smooth taste and unique flavors definitely make it one of the best coffee experiences I've had.
Pastry Options: To complement your coffee, the shop offers a selection of pastries. They’re a great addition for those looking for a quick bite along with their drink.
Overall Impression: This coffee shop is ideal for customers who are in a hurry or prefer takeout over dining in. While it’s not the best spot for a long, leisurely coffee break, it excels at providing high-quality coffee and efficient service for those on the move. If you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix and a tasty treat, this place is definitely...
Read moreI get it, the design was minimalist and clean. However, they did exceptionally well to make sure you don't get to stay long. The place was not intended for you to stay and enjoy. "Get your coffee and get out" this was the screaming vibe I got from this place.
The mirrors were uncomfortable, it felt like you're always being watched.
The stools, this was literally uncomfortable. You can't rest your back because it didn't have it. You also can't rest on the wall because, mirrors.
The tables were, again, mirrors. You know tables with holes where you can rest your legs when you sit? Nope, they don't have it there.
I had the Butterscotch Latte, recommended by my friend. This was my fault, I forgot to tell her I don't like milky coffee and I wanted to taste the coffee. This was my bad. However, we came here because my friends came in earlier and really liked it. So when I didn't like my coffee I gave it to her, but she didn't like it this time. She said maybe they haven't perfected the mix yet.
The tablet menu for ordering. I saw there was a menu, and took a picture of it. However, when I made my order via the tablet it didn't have those. There were only a handful of coffee options available. Again, this is my fault, I didn't ask but this goes back to the sense of not being welcome.
Overall, I'm not a fan and I won't be going back. The place was too...
Read moreI ordered thru FoodPanda. When we arrived to pick up our order, I received a notification that the restaurant did not accept our order. We were there already so I just ordered myself. Reason why I ordered through FoodPanda was there was a discount for pick up and I was in a hurry because I have a meeting to attend in an hour.
So since we were there, I ordered coffee. The thing is, this coffee shop is not PWD friendly in terms of payment. The cashier (or manager) said their machine is not capable to transact with PWD discount immediately. It will take 5 minutes for them to deduct the discount.
I have never encountered this in any restaurant. While all of us are trying to survive and thrive (customers and businesses) this pandemic, I hope you will still be customer friendly.
Oh and by the way, when I suggested they fix their payment issue for the PWDs, the cashier (or manager) just shrugged me off.
A good coffee shop is not just how beautiful the place is or how cute the packaging is. I am a coffee lover as I grind my coffee beans everyday and use my dripper.
Your prime location is not at par with your service. Because Coffee is a...
