Used to go to the Petron site but the BGC site is more accessible. Located at the cinema level of Central Square it seems out of place. From the furniture, store layout all the way to the lights, it seems dim, tired and dated. Aesthetics took a backseat for funtionality and simplicity. It has a fastfood, eatery vibe to it. AC and ventilation is mediocre. Makes me wonder why the mall allowed the store to have such a low key look compared to the other tenants. "Ok" as the name implies but looks can be deceiving. The star of the show is the Pasta. The egg yolked Ravioli has a very distinct and flavor from the meat sauce. Its rather big measuring 3 inches square. Glad to be reaquainted with the Pizza. This time around it has a good crust compared to its previous version which reminded me of a thick flat bread with cheese. The 10 inch pizza crust has a light browning on the underside. Bite into it and you'd noticed little air-pockets inside which makes the pizza light but still have that slight doughy texture. Cheese, tomato sauce and topping are on the lighter side, subtle and not overdone like an American Pizza. Price points is admittedly on the high side. Overall you're here for the pasta. Its really good and theres nothing quite like it in the area.

Our favorite Va Bene Pasta Deli in Makati has successfully branched out in Central Square Mall, Bonifacio Global City. To those who haven’t tried their dishes yet, they are well known for serving freshly made pasta and so many other authentic Italian dishes, made by the unquestionably true-blue seasoned chef and connoisseur Chef Massimo Veronesi. We love their cheese selections and their business lunch set. Their pasta is super fresh and tasty. But the best thing that we have ever tasted at Va Bene is their Organic Egg Tagliatelle .The earthy flavor of the mushrooms, most especially the dominant scent and taste of truffle (oil) is just so distinct and very rich. I also recommend the Ricotta Eggplant Tortellini. To me, a trip from Quezon City to Makati and BGC to have lunch or dinner at Va Bene Pasta Deli is absolutely worth it, mainly because of the freshness of the food, good service and wide variety of Italian delights (not just the traditional pasta and pizza).

We were here last week. Just that food looks so good that i already ate some (like half) of each dish before i got to take a picture. Prolly one of the best Italian place I've ever been to. So we came back today -- with reinforcements. What we ordered : Burrata Salad (5/5) - loved the Tomatoes with Burrata and the sweet Balsamic sauce really carried this dish. Capers were a pleasant addition of flavor. Arugula Salad with Chicken Milanese (5/5) - loved the Arugula, not so bitter. It blends well with Chicken and the caramelize apples (super sarap). Boscaiola Pizza (Al Taglio) (5/5) - Ham and Mushroom with some truffle. Sooo good. Veal Cheeks Ravioli (5/5) - A fave since we first tried it. It's a constant everytime we eat here. Vongole (5/5) - super generous with the clams. Rigatoni Zozzona (5/5) - also super good. Service is fast. Place kinda looks like a canteen. But the food more than makes up for it. The accept cash and GCash.

One of the best sleeper Italian restaurants in BGC. Me and my partner entered and the store is quite quaint and very simple, gives off a family-owned small time restaurant even though I heard this is their second location. We ordered the Bolognese fettuccine for two which is set at an amazing price 990 and can definitely serve 3 easily and 4 with a bit of rationing. This restaurant may not look like much but the pasta was cooked to perfection and the Bolognese is to die for, the complimentary bread was also an extremely nice add on. Unfortunately I could not take a picture as we were hungry and the good got the best of us, but if you're around central square and craving good quality Italian cuisine for a really good price then this is the place to go.

The only cons were they didn't have any gnocchi available, and they couldn't accept credit card (which wasn't an issue for us) but they do accept gcash and paymaya which alleviates the minor distress. The table cleaning was a bit slow but I could chalk that up to coming pretty late at night and the customers were quite a few.

They definitely punch way above their weight class and they truly provide some of the best Italian food at an acceptably accessible...
