The train station and galleria exterior is far and away the ugliest in Poland, probably in all of Europe, yet it was completed in recent years! There are former buildings from the communist era that were not as hideous as this monstrosity! The locals call it The Bread Box because it somewhat resembles one. However, there are many real bread boxes available at the various shops that are much more attractive than this horrible structure! There is nothing good about the inside or outside! On the outside, the "windows" collect rain and dust so you can't see out from the inside and on the inside there's no insulation so it's mind-bogglingly LOUD! The "architect" was incredibly negligent in the design. The former POZnan politicians who selected him should be put in some punishment cell...with noise from The Bread Box piped in 😉! Perhaps there was some under-the-table money changing hands for someone as inept as the architect for this blunder. Look at the classic train station/gallerias in Wroclaw, Krakow ...& even Lublin, and they're so much classier. POZnan is one of the most wonderful cities in the world(!!!), yet the train station and Bread Box are an embarrassment! Thankfully, Stary Browar is fantastic, a short walk away, AND you don't have to pay for the restrooms!!! That's another horrible decision in...

Read moreThis is a mall which kind of houses or is just adjacent to Poznań główny railway station and Poznań bus station. All Intercity connections are from these stations. Trains and buses to other countries like Germany do pass from here, though this might not be the originating station. Trains and buses fairly stop for quite some time and one can actually grab some food from any of the day food chains in the mall with ease. This might be a little risky though. The mall as such houses a lot of clothing merchandise stores like H & M etc. There are also a lot of restaurants and eateries like KFC, Burger King, some restaurants serving polish fare, European food etc. Other stores selling shoes, fashion accessories etc are also in plenty. Being so well connected to rest of the city of Poznań, this place is perfect in terms of accessibility. When it comes to drawing crowds, you can measure the same by the number of people you would find here throughout the week. From prices point of view, this would be fairly comparable to any other mall in the country. With chains of brands in place, uniform offers across the country would apply. On the whole, it is worth a visit, especially when you...
