The owner explained to us that “making gelato isn’t hard. It’s just all about the ingredients.” And his commitment to that shows through in the care he puts into the gelato, which he makes himself. The flavors are unique and delightful (although he has the standards too).

The coffee is also top-notch, not too bitter and not too acidic. Served in unique pottery from local artisans, each one different than the other.

And of course, the service is top notch. You can try as many samples as you would like, and hear all about the inspiration behind them and the shop — including the owner’s engineer brother who quit to become a gelato maker.

Superb! Amazing ice cream with incredible customer service. On arrival Dominic already offered us filtered water (a basic but unfortunately uncommon in Portugal). The tasting is assisted also, when you're told all the details from each flavour, and he also recommends what to mix (you can even mix 2 for one ball). Well, of course the best part was having the ice cream, that is delicious and I already plan on coming back for more. We ended staying until the place was closing, with time going so fast with all the pleasures that it was. And oh yes, for the coffee lovers, you can also come to have some good ones (I'll still try on Saturday as it opens earlier 10am). Best in...

After a year in Buenos Aires it is a bit difficult to find really good ice cream in other places in the world. But Gula blew my mind. The taste and texture were 20 out of 5 stars. I got pistachio and hazelnut and just disappeared from this world for a minute. So creamy and the intense flavor of the nuts 🌰 and the salty note of the pistachio… I might go every day I’m here just for these two flavors. Also the service was super kind and was amazing recommending and giving me all kinds of flavors to try! Thank you!! Such an amazing experience.
