The food was just delicious. We had fried prawns, stuffed pig cheeks, and a dish which was a combined eggs, ham and frites - the last dish sounds weird but was absolutely delicious, it was served and cut up at the table and I believe truffle oil was added and the whole thing was unbelievable my tasty. Each plate was generous so for two of us, with bread, there was plenty. Staff were great. The wine by the glass white and red was top quality - a crisply white and an alentejo for the red. The banoffee pudding was very nice but when we go again, which we definitely will next time we are in Faro, rather than a pudding, I think we will go for another dish, because these plates are special. Same management, but now in a trendy place and new location. 1) location: downtown Faro. Easy to park close by. 2) establishment: cosy. Perfect for a few friends and nice company to have a chat, a drink and a small food plate to share with. 3) staff: super professional yet very welcoming with a happy face. 4) food: they've hit a home run with some amazing small plates to share; 5) price: around 6eur for each small plate. Due to its quality I would state that is over Par. 6) overall: my favorite place to hangout in Faro. This long and narrow restaurant is at the top of the main pedestrian shopping street in Faro. The beautifully vaulted ceiling has been carefully restored and adds to the setting. The service was excellent but let's get to the food!!! A great choice of small dishes, larger than a tapa but small enough to greedily ask for several. We had tiny cuttle fish, delicious Octopus tempura, a prawn polenta (xerem), alheira ( recently honoured as one of the world's great sausages), mushroom gratin and pork cheeks.
