Very interesting and delicious dishes. Chef Sky has very interesting idea to combine ingredients that I have never experienced in other place.
Particular interesting one for me is the TUNA TATAKI BITES, the Sesame coating added a crunch texture to the tuna and the homemade herb sauce added very interesting refreshing taste to it. It is hard to describe in words, a bit sour, a bit sharp, a taste I will remember for a long time.
RENDANG BEEF MEDALLIONS is my second favourite, the beef is super tender and juicy, the smash potato gave the beef an extra protection of juiciness. Just simply delicious.
Another very Interesting dish to me is ABORRAJADO, mixing baked plantains with Avocado salad and some other ingredients, in an interesting layering structure. Something I did not try before, and it is very pleasant flavour.
The dessert dish we ordered is “a bit of the all” because every dessert looks so interesting I cannot select only one. And this tasting board is a good choice. Just by looking at those pretty cuties it was so enjoyable. The brownies was the best brownies I had, which is just at the right level of sweetness due to the usage of black chocolate. Cheesecake is different to normal cheesecake in texture and flavour, it felt more fine. My husband loves Crispy banana as it was novel to him. Chef Sky mentioned that Crispy banana was his childhood memory. Which reminded me that my father used to make crispy banana to me when I was a child, nice memory. Vanilla ice cream is also very delicious, with the nuts piece surrounding it. But I made a mistake that I had brownies and ice cream before trying the Leche brûlée, i should have tasted the Leche Brûlée first as it is much less sweeter than other desserts.
Other dishes are also very tasty, I just listed my personally favourite above. The service is also great, Jen was super friendly and she told us interesting stories as a world traveller in south East Asian since a little child.
It was a very pleasant night for us. I would certainly go back if...
Read moreI was lucky enough to be treated to a birthday meal at Céu recently and it was the most fabulous evening.
My partner and I enjoyed every second from the moment we walked through the door until we rolled ourselves out, full of the most delicious food and wine but also feeling warm and fuzzy from the thoughtful & generous hospitality we received. We have been raving about our visit ever since.
Food at Céu is really something special. We had arepas (black bean & plantain and chicken) along with a selection of tapas and my goodness, what a treat it was. So many delicious flavours - zingy jerk spiced tofu, yuca and cheese bolitas with creamy homemade guasacaca, Indonesian sautéed prawns, spiced tempeh… This is the kind of meal you have to force yourself to slow down to savour because you don’t want it to end. I could not decide which plate was my favourite. Everything was delicious. We shared the crispy banana with lemongrass caramel for desert and joked about wanting to lick the plate clean. It is such a winner. I’m salivating as I type this. Sky and his team are magicians!
I have to mention - Sky makes a point of stepping out of the kitchen to greet diners and check that they are enjoying their meal. This is a very nice touch.
We also shared a bottle of white Douro wine (Scylla) which we have had at Céu before and love!
Not only are the food and wine excellent, the service and hospitality are first rate too. We received the warmest welcome from Jen who took care of our table for the evening. Jen is awesome at what she does - attentive, personable, knowledgeable, thoughtful and she even remembered dietary restrictions that I mentioned during a visit one year prior!! She and her team are pros.
I have to note the thoughtfulness and generosity that I experienced at Céu during this birthday celebration. I have never experienced anything quite like it and honestly, I was kind of blown away. Thank you Jen, Sky and your team.
This was not our first visit and it will certainly not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional fine-dining restaurant, and every aspect of the experience was flawless. From the moment I arrived, the service was nothing short of extraordinary. The staff’s attention to detail was evident in everything they did: as I am French the menu presented in elegant French (a delightful touch), servers fluent in English, and uniformly highly trained personnel. My mineral water arrived with two perfectly cut citrus slices—one bright yellow, one emerald green—setting the tone for impeccable hospitality. The open-kitchen concept is a rare treat, offering a fascinating glimpse into the culinary artistry at work. Even the restrooms were thoughtfully designed: a discreet notification system lets you know exactly when a stall is available (eliminating any wait), and each lavatory is impeccably clean, odor-free, and stocked with plush cloth towels, a subtly scented candle, and—courtesy of the management—a box of feminine care supplies. On to the wine: the white selection was among the most vibrant and mineral-driven I’ve ever encountered, with a lively, effervescent character that perfectly complemented the meal. Every course dazzled. The appetizer, offered in several exquisite variations, was simply divine. The octopus—astonishingly tender, with a flavor almost reminiscent of chicken—was a standout, and the shrimp, available with three levels of chili heat, were downright addictive. For dessert, a breathtaking array that felt more like culinary sorcery than cooking—each bite a revelation. As a final flourish, the chef generously sent over a glass of perfectly balanced, fruit-forward Porto wine and a sweet petit four alongside the check. My heartfelt thanks to the two proprietors—the chef and his partner (I guess) whose meticulous choreography leaves absolutely nothing to chance. This was, without question, a five-star evening—and then some. Highly recommended for anyone seeking the pinnacle of...
