Seafaris came recommended by my friend who had done dolphin watching & benagil tour with them. Dalila was throughout very very helpful, and she gave us the option as & when we reach lagos subject to time we can opt for that tour. We got late for dolphin with caves tour at 12:30 so we opted for just benagil caves tour. We were bit disappointed with just benagil trip as not much time was given at caves, nor we were been informed that it will be less than 5 mins at the caves so get ready with your camera, nor there was enough space/ angle on the boat which allowed good photos. I requested to take boat again inside which they did so thanks to captain, and managed 2-3 pics but none with me, as there was not enough time & space to swap. We got only 7 minutes in total in going & coming back to caves & that too in two times, in two hours trip so 120 minutes which is close to 5% of time for something which they are selling as their prime attraction in this trip. The rest of the coastline they showed nicely but it was primarily benagil that needed to be main attraction on this trip.
The commentary was not at all audible.. the person should have used some mic, we were sitting behind a lil screen, in that boat wind noise is anyways a lot. So I am gutted as I had gone to faro and to lagos primarily for benagil.
Thanks though for kind assistance throughout, and keeping our bags and very polite staff at pay desk. So I guess I had been unlucky with my boat and the person I got on the boat as our guide & commentator. I wonât be...
Read moreI had a great time on the dolphin Watching tour, we saw a pod of common dolphins and followed them for the time we were allowed to, which was half an hour. They came up pretty close to the boat and didn't seem stressed by our presence. Supposedly there are even some orcas and whales around this area so you never know if you might get lucky, but for the most part this is just a dolphin watching tour. The staff was really friendly however the whole "marine biologist" thing they advertise their tour with seemed kind of misleading. Maybe it's just because we only saw common dolphins that weren't engaging in any special behavior but we didn't get any real insights or educational information, just some facts that anyone could tell you. They still seemed well informed and respectable, I just hoped for a little more input. The boat was relatively small but had more than enough space for everyone and even allowed us to get up and walk around once we reached the dolphins. The drive out is pretty fast and windy, they do however equip you with windbreaker jackets so that's not an issue at all. You can also safely bring your bags and just put them under your seat, we didn't get wet at all.
Overall an awesome experience and a memory I won't forget. If you're having trouble deciding between the different companies, you can't go wrong with seafaris :) however they're all somewhat connected and will let each other know if there's anything special in the area, so you won't miss out on anything no matter which...
Read moreWe had the good fortune yesterday to be looking for a one-hour cave tour, and were fortunate to hook up with skipper Rafael and his assistant that day, Luis, of Seafaris. We spent one hour motoring out to and surveying the caves. At every turn we felt knowledgeably tutored on what these caves are about, how they got here, and how people like Rafael are ensuring people see them but leave no trace. It was nothing short of exactly what we were looking for. Rafael was a terrific guide and host, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Along the way we learned how these caves came to be, and what threatens them and what does not; and we got more great photos to send our loved ones back home than you can imagine. These people love and respect the territory they have been lucky to work in, and they leave you feeling so glad you came to see...
