They demand 30 Lei from foreigners at the poker room entrance while everyone else walks in for free. A guy makes a comment in Romanian when you sit down and the whole table laughs. This guy is too afraid (bad) to play Omaha. It's a weak Omaha game with people going all in when they flop a middle set and get called by a bottom set. Money just moves around the table and soon after a big win the player will cash out. They say the rake is 3% but I caught the dealer raking two black chips when I won. Players are friendly until they see you don't just give them your chips. They say food is free but I was given a bill after waiting an hour for my food which was overcooked. They struggle to get one Omaha game going with text messages, etc. One player berated a dealer for 3 minutes when he lost a hand. Such poor sports! Cards thrown across the table when they lose. One guy at another table spills a beer when he wins. Some kind of donuts were delivered and the whole table gets up to have some but I wasn't invited. Maybe somebody's birthday? The same guy leans on the back of my chair ten times rocking it trying to annoy me. I beat a player and he starts a 5 minute rant about how he hates Americans and says F Biden and Obama and stands up and does a pelvic thrust while saying that. The dealer says don't worry he's just talking politics and it's not personal. The rant continues for another 10 minutes. Another player stands up and grabs his crotch. The guy taps my arm telling me to settle down - he's trying to start a physical confrontation. The ranting player gets asked to leave and I get kicked out too because they tell me that anytime there's a confrontation, both players must leave. I try to talk to the poker room manager (Peter?) but he won't even look at me. He didn't tell me to come back tomorrow but he sends me text invitations the next day. Pathetic. The guy is still ranting while we cash out together and I'm given the wrong amount for my chips. So I'm put out on the street with the player and three of his friends at the same time. There are other poker rooms/casinos in town but none with Omaha. It's a primitive card room with...
People do the place in my mind's eye and not the place makes the people! I had so much fun enjoying myself and staying there. We set out a group of Pedro, a legal poker tournament in the country, on tour tournaments. I want to say that every person, soul that was present in the place did me good on the heart, I do not talk about the group I came out with, which is understood above. We want to sharpen and detail all the people who were there: Let's start with the Romanian actors, the Romanians are naturally happy people and settle for the least they have a happy life and even in the poker room I discovered this trait. (I am half of Romanian origin). All the kitchen staff from the chef and his wife, beautiful and stunning waitresses who work hard almost 24/7. The dealers who change every half hour come to do their jobs from the heart. While I was in any hand they were happy for me, and certainly rewarded accordingly. All the floor managers ran the floor, both Alex from the CASH spot and Alex from the tournament floor. As well as all the floor managers whose names I can not remember. At the side of the bar sits a great man literally, his name is Christine, I think. His hand was in everything. I remember one night I wanted to order food from the restaurant. The waitresses Anne and Catalina reported that the kitchen was closed. Christine insisted on opening the restaurant. Since then, the waitresses know that before closing a restaurant they have to go to a table to find out if anyone wants to eat. Christine Well done. Everything in his hand and his hand in everything. Finally, I would like to add, That success depends on the head rather than the tail, Details: Yochai and Matan owners of the Pedro Group. Eitam will also illuminate a magical person from the northern district, people like me, every word I add will be superfluous. To end the suffix, the owners of the place are the poker room in Bucharest, Lorca and Surrey, which I happened to meet on my last day. Nothing happens. Amazing people, so I did not know they owned the place, proves that they are modest, happy, giving, and doing their work quietly. Most importantly, cultivating the place! One final thing, I'd like to add, about the receptionists. And the chief coffers. I was already entering the place where the receptionists and the cashier were smiling,...
Read moreI'm a proffessional poker player since 2006. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The fact that the dealers are total trash is an understatement. I have been wronged in the most outrageous way possible, in a rather expensive TOURNAMENT, by a dealer ruling which I've never seen in my entire career ever. After being last to act in a headsup pot and just having to call a huge overbet-allin raise, I snap-table my hand face-up in enthusiasm (a set of 3s on a J63 flop) and the dealer gathers the board right there without dealing the turn and river, and gives the pot to my opponent, claiming that I FOLDED. The opponent was drawing almost dead (had qjoff) , and she pushes the entire pot to him insisting that what I did is considered a fold . Floor manager intervenes and confirms this joke of a ruling, completely destroying my tournament. Instead of having a 3x starting stack, I was cheated out of my deserved winnings and also stolen another 30k chips that was my...
