This place should NOT be located on the prestigious Decebal Boulevard. It is either a scam or the exponent of a culture with a very big gap when it comes to elegance and food industry. The location is great, but the place is a trap for fouls We visited twice , once when opened and second time about six months later. Here are our conclusions: FOOD: way under the expectations . The meat was somehow acceptable but the potato chips and the falafel were soaked in cold oil, the hummus was of a poor quality the salads were disgusting . The laffa bread was dry, as it was defrosted too fast. the grenadine juice was watery and warm . PRICES : very high for what you get. Actually they are at the same level with Duman ,were the food is ten levels up. SERVICE: poor. despite the almost empty place, they forget to bring the hummus and the falafel making it difficult to enjoy. One of us get all the food and waited until it get cold for the other to be served. ALL the time we have been there the owner/ manager ( the one with the Turban) was live on Tiktok instead of taking care of the business. Overall, a very unpleasant experience , under the standards of the civilised world, the EU and my own. ...
Read moreTotally not what I expected. A very crowded place, probably because of the social media activity of the owner (tiktok). The food was good but other than that the experience was disappointing. The waiters were moving chaotic and were under trained for the fast moving pace of a Turkish restaurant. After we finally got seated(about 20 minutes with a reservation), we waited 10 more minutes before deciding to go get the menus ourselves, then another 20 before our order was taken and 15 more for the drinks to be served. The food was good, except for the grilled vegetables which were cold and burnt. We had lamb chops and lamb skewers, both tasty and tender. We didn't try any desserts since the portions are quite big. They market the place like an all you can drink Turkish tea and coffee after you finish eating, but that's not the case. They didn't have either when we visited (Sunday afternoon). We belive that's just a scheme to make people leave so they can seat other people. Overall, even if the food was good I don't think I'll visit this...
Read moreWe had a reservation for 6 persons at 9:15-9:30 on a Friday evening, 4 adults and 2 kids. The place was crowded and a lot of people were waiting outside, of course they didn't respect the reservation. After exiting the restaurant, the owner came after us and asked us to wait 5 more minutes... After another 15-20 we were finally at the table. Now, the tricky/disappointing part, the food and the service. We got the menu's ourselves and choose what to order after signaling the waiter for at least two times. They serve the main dish with some salads on the side... I assumed that being well after 10 PM they were lacking those because the table of 6 had the same salads as a table of 2... The problem is with the meat courses, as well... Very small portions. The taste of the meat was ok-ish but we left almost as hungry as we came in. So yeah, the overall experience was horrible. Please don't follow the trend, as I did and search for a decent Turkish restaurant in Bucharest, surely there...
