Trattoria Fresca — Restaurant in Bucharest

There were four of us, we ordered three soups and main courses. The soups arrived 20 minutes later, and I had to wait a whole hour. I don't understand why they couldn't warn me upfront that it would take so long. When I commented, they brazenly told me that "everywhere they bring out the soups first, and then the main courses, and I should have known that." The waiter didn't listen to the end and kept interrupting. When they brought the bill, the first thing they asked was how much I wanted to tip. After I said I didn't want to leave a tip, they asked in surprise, "Didn't you really like anything?" Yes, I didn't like waiting an hour for potatoes and chicken, I didn't like tasteless seafood, I didn't like the chicken that had feathers on it, and I didn't like...

The chef saves the day!

Have been several times to this restaurant and the food has always been excellent (5/5) with very good drinks as well (4/5). The place looks just like any other Italian restaurant but the amenities are outdated and not all are functional so the ambience is about average (3/5). But the service is on the poor side (2/5). Multiple times our bill had items we did not order. Furthermore the owners (or their close friends) often wander around the restaurant and act all bossy with the staff and they do not seem to mind their customers.

Just perfect ! The service, the food, the environement. We are a french couple and were happy that they could speak english to be able to communicate. Then we took 3 fish plates (one starter and 2 main plates), it was just quality and incredibly tasty : salmon, dorade and tuna. And a delicious mushroom sup. The prices are a bit higher than other places which is completely normal for the quality, the portions and the presentation. We are lucky to live at 400 meters and we'll definitly come back to taste every other plate ! They largely deserve...
