Beautiful small park right in the middle of the city centre. There are a lot of benches available to take a break from walking and just enjoy the sound of the fountains, and the beautiful views. We were there on a Friday afternoon after finishing a game of Questo, a mobile app with clues, offering insight into the history of Bucharest while taking us on a beautiful route with scenic sights. As the sun was starting to set, it was so beautiful sitting down, looking at the changing colours of the beautiful sky, looking at people passing by, walking home after a long working day. Parents with children. Dog owners with their beloved pets. Groups of friends on an evening out. It was these simple moments that made me appreciate this park and the views even more.

I recently visited Parcul Unirii in Bucharest and was deeply disappointed by the state of neglect it’s in. The park appears to be poorly maintained, with signs of disrepair that detract from its potential beauty. There’s a noticeable presence of panhandlers, which can be unsettling for visitors looking for a leisurely escape. Unfortunately, my experience was far from the peaceful park visit I had anticipated. It’s disheartening to see such a central area in the city reflect a lack of care. It could be so much more with the right attention and maintenance. Absolutely terrible place and should be avoided!
