I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Unirii Fountains in Bucharest at night, and I must say, the experience was absolutely breathtaking. These fountains are a true gem that shouldn't be missed if you find yourself in the city.

What sets the Unirii Fountains apart from others is their captivating display of lights and graceful movements. As darkness descends, the fountains come alive, adorned with a vibrant array of colors that dance in perfect harmony with the water jets. It's a mesmerizing spectacle that creates a magical ambiance, leaving visitors spellbound.

The synchronization of the lights and motion is truly remarkable. The choreography of the water jets is flawless, as they gracefully sway and shoot up into the night sky. The patterns and sequences are constantly changing, keeping you engaged and eagerly anticipating the next movement. It's like watching a symphony of water and light unfold before your eyes.

The Unirii Fountains are also well-maintained, which adds to the overall experience. The water is crystal clear, and the surrounding area is clean and tidy. There are ample seating areas where you can relax and soak in the beauty of the fountains. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening stroll or a serene moment of solitude.

Another advantage of visiting the Unirii Fountains at night is the relatively fewer crowds compared to daytime. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in the spectacle without feeling overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the urban landscape.

If you're planning a trip to Bucharest, make sure to allocate some time to visit the Unirii Fountains at night. The combination of enchanting lights, graceful movements, and serene surroundings makes it an experience you won't soon forget. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this hidden gem is sure to leave a...

This as a FREE experience DIFFERENT than any other i have seen in Europe. I have seen in Paris the Versailles palace fountains, on a scale of 1-10 say number 3 (especially because the fountains are NOT working most of the time). In Barcelona, they have The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc (Font màgica de Montjuïc), newer than Versailles but way older (1929) than Bucharest's; beautiful synch show, the position on the bottom of a hill is great, would give it an 8. However, the Bucharest fountains benefit all the wonders of modern science and are BREATHTAKING! Literally! A full 10+ !!! Just try to be there when the evening sets in, before you stroll into the Old Town (another jewel) and you'll see and hear on your own. The music is majestic and artfully synchronized with the dynamic changes of colors in the hundreds (!!!) of fountains springing up over 1.4km !!! (The World Record Academy proclaimed it the longest row of synchronized, choreographed fountains in the world). Make not mistake, online they say 44 synchronized fountains. That may be true for how many actual pumps there are, but what you see are not the underground pumps, but the jets of water, and those are hundreds. TIP: after enjoying the night show, walk by the same place during the day, as most fountains have colored mosaic bottoms and various building styles, offering the chance of great day-light pictures. In the old days you would've run out of film; now you'll run out of memory for all these pics you WILL take. Hats off to Bucharest, they...

During the day, the 44 synchronized fountains in Unirii Square in Bucharest serve as a refreshing oasis and a delightful visual spectacle. The sun shines on the water’s surface, and the water jets dance in a tranquil rhythm, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing stroll in the heart of the capital. Stretching over 1.4 km between Alba Iulia Square and Constitution Square, the fountains are a point of attraction for both locals and tourists alike .

As night falls, the fountains in Unirii Square transform into an impressive multimedia show. “The Symphony of Water” begins after 8:30 PM and lasts approximately 45 minutes, during which visitors are enchanted by the harmony between music, light, and 3D projections on water screens. The theme of the show changes annually, and the selected music includes soundtracks from famous movies and popular songs, all perfectly synchronized with the water’s dance .

The fountains in Unirii Square are not only a tourist attraction but also a symbol of innovation and the vibrant spirit of Bucharest. Access to this spectacle is free, offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and creativity of this...

Absolutely stunning – a must-see in Bucharest! The Unirii Square fountains blew me away. I went on a Saturday evening and the entire boulevard came alive with lights, music, and synchronized water shows. It felt like a mix between a concert and a light festival — all completely free. The way the water danced in time with classical and modern music was mesmerizing. The road was closed to cars during the show, so you could walk freely and enjoy the view from every angle. Super family-friendly, romantic, and photogenic. Don’t miss this if you're in Bucharest during spring or summer!

We visited the fountain show on a Sunday at 21:00. We were nervous to take the children this late, but it was perfect! We arrived just when it began , so we stopped near one of the side fountains and not the main, but it was spectacular either way. Later, we tried getting closer, but it was too crowded. The only thing that took a little bit from the experience is that there were a few unsettling people around, screaming, getting close... and no law enforcement in sight.
