Dristor Kebap — Restaurant in Bucharest

If you are looking for a great Kebab, you found the right place. This restaurant has been open since 1999, and I certainly know why. The guys working the line are pounding order after order over the counter, buy they make sure the quality is there - they actually weigh the meat each time to make sure it is consistent. After this point, it is up to the consumer - sauces, vegetables, French Fries, etc. I loved the way they lay everything out on the pita bread, and then give it all a few turns with tongs to mix it all up. Great value for money as well - you will be full tackling one of these. The genius part is how they wrap it up for serving - a double thin plasticized wrap that literally prevents any escaping sauce to make it onto your hands or down your arms hahaha. The only downside to this place is that it certainly attracts the drinkers in the area - of course 😀. It can get a bit chaotic as the orders are being called out and people are not "listening". A bit frustrating, and rightfully so. There is an eating area just outside, but the current plastic enclosure seemed a bit strange (too thick?). I'm not sure if the area would have these rolled up once summer comes - it may be a bit hot in the day. Overall, an amazing spot to grab a Kebab to go - they are made especially for that...

Food is actually great, the guys preparing the food are phenomenal but Alexandra, the cash desk lady had the rudest customer service I have ever met. She looked disgusted when I said “Hello!” (I didn’t get a response back) and she literally said “What do you want?” (Ce vrei?). After I ordered she threw the money to the desk and all the coins were all over the place. I asked her if she was okay and she looked at me as if she wanted me to leave. I said “Thank you and have a good night.” and she didn’t even look at me. She seemed disgusted of her job and then I turned back and I said to her she should smile. She would look at me again as if she would have mercy of my life. She was the rudest ever and I really used to go there every two nights but I’m never going to visit this place again as long as she works there. I’m sorry for the rest of the staff ‘cause I used to leave them some tips and I spent good money with my friends there. You should take...

We had such a bad experience today with the cashier lady. She was incredibly rude and treated us so disrespectfully.

So what happened? After we paid and gave the ticket to the guys that were about to make our kebap, we come to find out we ordered an extra kebap. The guy behind the counter told us to go back the the cashier lady to get our money back. So we went back to her and she told me that I ordered the extra and too bad. Not only did she tell us rudely she also started yelling at the guys behind the counter to stay out of her business. They didn’t even make any food for us yet, but she refused to give us our money back.

At a minimum she should be fired. You can tell that all the other employees hate working with her. Whoever was the cashier at 10am on July 6 2022, please leave Romania! To the owner of Dristor Kebap, please fire her immediately and hire someone...
